In fact, what the ObidienDs are bringing into Nigerian politics is very dangerous and must be rejected by all.

Now the only thing needed to win any election in Nigeria is to claim that you are fighting for the Youth and the masses. No ideology!

If ObidienDs get into power, another group will come up with the same plan, telling the electorate that they are fighting for the masses...

Now there would be no clear cut ideologies that would form the base of any party... Unlike in saner climes, where they have two or max three political parties with very clear and known ideals. Democrats and Republicans come to mind in the US...
You are yarning dust, you think anybody can wake up and start controlling the youths in Nigeria?? The youths wanted a change and that's more reason the political space is like this, and if you are elected under labor party and you don't deliver, we will vote you out, no two ways about it...

Yorubas are not the owner of lagos

The Binis are the owner

The so called lagos is owned by the Binis

The Binis were the people who named it eko

Please before you quote and insult me

Ask elderly ones in your family probably your grandparents

Or rather take a walk to any of your monarchs and ask them they will tell you the history
I'm sure you sound smart and intelligent to yourself on this matter, but I'm sorry to day that you are far from it!

First, even if I accept your narrative of bini empire finding lagos and naming it Eko, then you are still wrong because even bini itself is yoruba! Don't you know that the benin kingdom was founded by one of Oduduwa's sons? Oduduwa that happens to be the father of the yoruba race.

So if that's what you are claiming, then lagos is still a yoruba state!

But I'm really sorry to disappoint you on this. The bini people didn't found lagos even though they named it Eko. History has it that the then Oba of Benin sent his son to the land now known as lagos or Eko to see for himself and report back, all the great news of it been a place very huge in commerce and merchandising.

When he reported back to Benin, the Oba sent him back to conquer the land, and annexed it to the Benin kingdom. It was named Eko because it was a commercial place. Eko means a market place.

Benin people met people who are already prospering in commerce and merchandising. They are the Aworis. The true aborigines of Lagos State as it is today.

So I think you are the one who needs to go to your elders for the real story to be related to you! That is if they know the truth themselves. Its like you saying Britain founded Nigeria because they colonized us! What will you now call people who are living for thousands of years before the oyinbo people came!

This guy has won the election. E sure die. That's why Sanwo Olu who avoided debate is now sending epistles everyday to Lagosians.

Sanwo Olu's boys just tried using the ethnic weapon which backfired during the Presidential elections. They just succeeded in making him more popular. Sanwo Olu has nothing to campaign with and is really afraid that the only thing he will try doing is rigging.

You mean the way Obi won presidential election!!!

But victory is sure for Gbadebo. He is the next governor. The structure and thieving dynasty in which Sanwo Olu is a houseboy must be broken.

What ideology are you talking about??
The one presented by APC or PDP?
I donā€™t see anything wrong in what Labor party is doing.
When you look at an army of young intelligent unemployed graduates littering the streets of Nigeria, not sure where their next meal will come from, with so much hopelessness and despair. What has the ruling party done for them??
You talk about democrats and republicans in America with ideology. Yes they do. The earlier one is about socialism, big spending to improve the welfare and social safety net of their constituents while the later promotes fiscal and frugal expenditure, funding the police, widening defense budgets etc. what ideologies does the ruling party in Nigeria have?
Itā€™s safe to say that Labor party is a project that the term population of youth in Nigeria has embraced: from consumption to production. Thatā€™s an ideology.
It will outlive Peter Obi.
Peace!!!

Sanwo-Olu was special adviser to Femi Pedro. The then deputy governor of Tinubu. He later became a commissioner under Tinubu, then later a commissioner again under Fashola. Go make that little research.

The ideologies of longstanding parties, where have they gotten us to? You are quick to attribute this trend to Obidients when you know it is a common practice.

In the past, during elections, politicians only needed to purchase Agbado or assist the akara woman in your street in frying for 10 mins to convince you that they identify with the masses; and they are back to default setting after the elections.

How is it any diff from what you are seeing now? Didn't start with Obidients.
