Epe does belong to Ijebu and Ilaje run the fishing there as well. Ilaje also sailed from Ondo to fish in Lagos. They run the rivers but Ijebu own the sea.

Lagos State origin is a diverse one. There are pure Egun, Badagry, Awori, Ijebus n Brazilian ones and returning slaves from Carribean n Siera Loneans. So Rhodes u are referring to may likely be Brazilian or returned slaves origin.
