Good day everyone. Thank you for your support and commitment to ensure everyone scales through. Please I have a masters degree in Occupational Health and Safety. 1. Is it right to fill that in my DS 160 form? I am applying for F1 visa (with my husband and children as F2 dependents) to go to the USA for a 2nd Masters in Public health. 2. How would I defend this at the Embassy in case I am asked during the interview. Thank you. |

shollyshine: Not just anyone. Much better if it's coming from an official email address and not @gmail e.t.c. Seek your previous employer or lecturer, or HOD. This is why it is good to foster a good relationship and keep it going even after graduation. You can also seek your religious leaders if they can help you with one. But an academic recommendation letter is very important. Academic, work, community or religious body, or any NGO you have volunteered in the past. |

Goldenman2023: It depends on how you can take advantage of your highlights and use it to gain an edge in your application. Are you self-sponsored or using a sponsor? The answer to this might work against you because the VO might see it as a financial burden on your sponsor but if you can convince them why you need the Master you are fine. But work on why you went for your first Master and try to defend its relationship or why you NEED the second Master. Did you use the first Master's to work and what was the outcome is something you have to answer and try to add to your drive for this second Master's degree?! If you can convince yourself beyond any reasonable doubt, you will be able to scale through your interview. They might even see it as you have the juice and a bona fide student. |

Good day everyone My first interview with funding of $20k and deficit of 50k was denied but I recently got admission into a state university with $15k funding and deficit of 33,500. Please I want to know if I can switch to the new university. But the first university wants to offer more financial aid which my deficit will still be around $40k. |

mixmic:1: 4k from WIU is low, have you tried other schools? 2: can your family afford $23k for 2 years? 3: Have you considered applying for PhD to increase your full funding chances? BUT, If you choose to go with your WIU offer, get your bank statements, profit and loss statement, pay slip, real estate valuation reports. Typical my family owns this and that without strong paperwork would reduce your chances. Good luck. 1 Like 1 Share |

Hi Fam, I need help as I just got admitted into DePaul University Chicago. 1. I have been working in UAE as Security officer for almost 8 years but with prestigious client of my company, My degree is marketing and going to study MS Marketing at DePaul Universiy.. Would that affect me on the day of the interview? As I have been working here for years as Securtiy officer? 2. I will be funding myself and thinking of getting more Scholarship or Financial aid from Depaul University as I got only $5k in my acceptance letter. 3. I have a girlfriend, Obviously yet to be married but would like her to be my dependant but in my I-20 Form they are asking if I would be having dependant, if I mark no for now and after when we get married I want to add her as my dependant is there going to be an issue? 4. I have B2 appointment booked June this year, is that also going to affect me, if they see that i have B2 appointment and then also showing up for F1 appointment or should I cancelled the B2 appointment? Kindly please help with the question above as I am new with the F1 Visa things. Thanks |

EBUBECHISOM: My simple advice, go for a school that requires application fees. If you can research properly on a school that has a high acceptance, requires application fees and there is availability of full funding. Going for schools with application fee waivers might be counter productive due to competition (I may be totally wrong here) You have a solid profile. Wish you all the best 4 Likes |

They require WES evaluated transcript. Had to abandon my application despite getting application waived. Also, you must chose English as your native language. Else they would require that you submit test of English scores. EBUBECHISOM: |
