actually it's the other way round. the Se need Nigeria more than Nigeria needs the SE. you can tell this in migration patterns, the SE are the only ones who predominantly leave their zone to make a living...which means they cannot survive economically in their zones.

whatever businesses the SEterners have in other parts of Nigeria can be replaced by others but the market Nigeria provides for the Ibo businessmen cannot be replaced in the SE.
