Akwa Ibom is not among the states that have the capacity to realize her huge budget in a given financial year.

Rivers State is the best place to celebrate with because our Governor has been busy showing us what democracy is all about till date and that is the reason you see people talk about him because he is busy delivery the decided of democracy.

Akeredolu of Ondo state have completed some KM of road in owoh and Akure (single lane and dualization)
and some are still under construction

A Lagosian is not just a person who was born in Lagos but a person with the heart beat of lagos and a record of doing good things by Lagos. Lagos is a vibe and culture. There are so many igbo and hausa men and women in Lagos that are more Lagosian than a man who cannot speak the language of his forebears and whose tweets show disdain for his claimed yoruba culture.

Even his grandfather and father would not vote for him - but don't let's go there - it isn't his fault.

Exactly akwa ibom earns more in terms of local IGR and fed allocations put together..

How do you satisfy a budget if it isn't with what you earn..

After akwa ibom it is rivers state..but if you wouldn't agree then fine..

If akwa ibom isnt second then it is 3rd..the second must be rivers state..and the margin will be small..

Rivers state has bigger responsibility as it is already a highly populated state with lot of business activities so it makes sense for their governors to focus on improving it's infrastructure...what is in Akwa Ibom that requires Udom building a 10 lane road.. he should put his state money into projects that will bring businesses to that state not building church with Julius berger, several hotels, useless flyovers than can't record 1000 cars daily or pointless skyscraper and airline

Sorry, but Akwa Ibom does not have a high IGR.
Akwa Ibom has an IGR of about 30 billion yearly.
Rivers has an IGR of about 120 billion yearly.
Akwa Ibom has a high allocation. But when you are talking about IGR besides Lagos, FCT and Rivers, you should be looking at Ogun and Delta. If you put Allocation and IGR together, Delta is even higher than Akwa Ibom.

Like I said, budget is not available income, rather it's expected income.

You can budget 1 billion naira, does not mean you have 1 billion naira.

you are contradicting urself with nothing to prove. Oshiomole did well in his tenure but stole more money than any other governor in terms of performance but stole the state blind in the second tenure. There's no godfather in Edo state and no one can control Edo state or pocket Edo just like they are doing in Lagos, using state money as their fathers property and that's where the Edo no be Lagos slags came from. Oshiomole fought against godfathers and now he became a godfather and was dictating, so nobody was finding that funny and the way APC disgraced obaseki, that's why Edo people fought against oshiomole and voted obaseki just to put oshiomole in his place. In the coming election, if LP brings a good candidate, they will win since obaseki didn't do very well in the second term.

What's working for Lagos is the huge market that has been created in the state. Thanks to her population. Therefore, that free trade zone may not work for Akwa Ibom. Here's the catch: Before you execute a project, you do the feasibility study. He probably did it, and it wasn't viable.

I expected you to write about the seaport because all the seaports in the Delta are not operating at optimal level. Udom has set up many agro-allied industries to create jobs and boost the economy of the state. If you don't know them, google it. This is commendable.

As for the airline, uncle, I am sorry that it wasn't meant to benefit oridnary Akwa Ibom people. It's a source of revenue generation for the state. Today, the airline is acquiring planes to cover many routes across the country. This is the first state-run airline in the country. He deserves a pat on the back for that.

Lest I forget, Udom has built some of the best road infrastructure this administration can boast of. Guess what, it's tax-free, unlike the Lagos you mentioned where motorists pay tolls to use those facilities.

BTW, I want to see Akwa Ibom State government invest in human capital development and stop her people from doing menial jobs outside the state. Akwa Ibom people are too rich (based on Nigerian standard) to be suffering.

Lastly, my dear brother, a budget doesn't mean money. It means a financial plan. That financial figure is not available anywhere. Governments draft budgets every year, hoping they will use it as guidelines for meeting their annual objectives. Do you know what? That money is not available anywhere and no Nigerian state achieves 100% of its budget.

Just before you reply me, make sure you understood the points I raised here.

First of all..many Nigerian state aside cross river achieve no less than 60% of it's budget..
So the 60% of N600bn is money sir..

Secondly..you cannot stop akwa ibom from doing menial jobs if you don't industralize your state..that is why even with all the infrastructure in the state..akwa ibom people still rush to rivers state to survive... They rush to rivers because it is industrialized with lots of businesses..

No state government can ever provide all the industries a state needs .that is why with all the coconut refinery, palm oil Factor etc.. it doesn't make any tangible difference..
What you do is to create the environment for the private sector to set up industries... Akwa ibom is blessed with the ocean ...aside from roads and flyovers the major thing most industries check for is a working seaport that is why companies are choking Lagos and expanding to Ogun state and igbos are crying for sea port...

What akwa ibom needs is a port and a free Zone for factories to easily work out..you said it is because of population Lagos seems to work...may I ask you..the industries In Lagos ..do they service the demands of lagosians or Nigerians itself ..
If you move apapa port to kogi state if possible.. industries will move to kogi and still service the demands of Lagos..so population isn't the key thing..
Inshort the industries brought the population..if akwa ibom wants something similar let them build the port and free Zone that will bring the population to work in their favour..

Go and study Ibeju Lekki...
They had no population literally before tinubu established a free Zone..that was all he needed to do ..he didn't build any useless coconut refinery that will eventually fail as far as it is government managed..

That free zone brought in Dangote refinery, Lekki port, BUA detergent, Kellogg's and several companies I can't remember in that area ..it turned that area to be the fastest in real estate development..

This is how you do things not airline and coconut refinery..

You are justifying the airline...if a project doesn't benefit a state and it's citizen it shouldn't be done... before any revenue factor..it should benefit it's citizen first..

Let me also remind you that Ibom is running a joint partnership with eygpt air.. so most of the operations are handled by eygpt air..how shameful.. let him put the money in a port and free zone first..it will benefits his citizens and keep them from rushing to port Harcourt..it will also bring revenue for them

I think Hope is not doing bad in terms of infrastructure...he is performing better than previous governors..

The reason why he isn't appreciated is because he hasn't built one useless centre table flyover but he is focusing on key roads..

.the level of decay in imo is so bad that if a governor doesn't fix all he won't be appreciated ..and no governor can fix all...

If other governors did something tangible. Imo won't be this bad

oga are you in Owerri imo state , why is hope leaving state roads to go and construct federal roads is he a federal governor, hope ain't doing anything there is no motorable roads in Owerri imo state building federal roads while your state roads is in total shambles

Abia State: busy doing nothing

Delta State: busy draining/minning the state to nothing.

Port Harcourt: busy creating contents and creating enemies for himself and the state.

Lagos State: busy showing up to places he's not invited.

You no get sense adding Lagos to state above
