Please how many liters of HCF 2 fluid do I need for my 2014 Civic? And how do I identify original?

I want to change because based on the car history, CVT fluid was never changed (don’t know whether CarFax report doesn’t keep such records).

No issue with transmission.

Car is 80k miles plus.

Try to postpone changing the transmission fluid till your mileage gets to 100,000 miles (that is if you’re sure of the carfax and also sure it’s odometer wasn’t rolled back before sale)

If you still want to go ahead with the change then make sure you do a simple drain and fill. You will need 3.6 US qt OR 3.4 liters of HCF-2 fluid (drain and fill capacity)

Obviously whoever did the prior tightening of ‘whatever it was’ under your vehicle didn’t do a good job. Take it back to him to inspect his work again and probably do a better job.
Please what could cause steering shaking mildly at around 100km/h

A lot.
From an unbalanced tire, to your CV axle, to torn bushings in your arms, bad shocks have also been known to cause it, bad ball joints, to a host of other things.
Remote diagnosis would be difficult.

As usual the things to check are your tyres for damage, if all is okay there then move on to their balancing and alignment.

If it persists then there are many other things that can be wrong. But the two above are usually where to start from

Even bad engine mounts could cause it too.

Many other things like?
I have been suffering ths since last year sept. I changed complete hub and yet no reprieve. Yesterday I changed shaft. Still no solution. Mine occurs at lower speeds, when I move from rest or if I slow down and later wanna speed up. That is when I feel the wobble on my front passenger side. The matter don tire me. I have spent a lot to correct t that nonsense. Now I am hearing is because of the shaft I bought didn't include that part that enters the gear. I called the person who sold the shaft to my mechanic this morning and he said when my mechanic brought my complete axle abi shaft, he noticed that side that enters the gear has a small issue. That I have to pay another money for that part. That my car shares that part with CRV. My car is an acura tsx 2008 model.

Jceesquare and conner44, abeg make una put mouth for this my matter.

Bro don’t make the mistake of buying another shaft other than the specific one for your vehicle. It’s one of the reasons people have shaft issues on our kinds of vehicles.

If you drive end of discussion and put evil spirit shaft it will not give you what you want. They might look and feel the same but they were built differently with different part numbers from factory.

Try to find the right shaft for your vehicle, the type that was intended for it from the factory. don’t substitute. I’ve had experience of this type thing specifically when it comes to Honda shafts.

Part seller is right. Replace the entire shaft and make sure the shaft cup fits well with the bearings on the shaft without play.
Your mechanic needs to be careful so he does not contaminate your gear or else you'll have much bigger problem to contend with.

Yeah, but that engine mount go don scatter finish be that.
Remote diagnosis for issues like that is usually not straight forward.

Is it tokumbo? Then find and keep using any good brand engine oil with the 5w30 weight.

Is it 9ja used? Then ask and continue with what the previous owner was using.
Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Kingstel(m): 3:39pm On Mar 22, 2023
Thanks for your response.

The last mechanic forgot the oil type. To service soon again. Checks online shows 5W-40.
Hope 5W-30 won't make the engine to start emanating bad smoke?

To be on the safe side use 10/15w weight oil. Since most Nigerians use 20w50.

I need a very good mechanic in Abuja.
My 2014 Civic rear suspension (right side) makes this noise as if it’s a bad shock/bushings but it’s not, cause I recently change the shocks and bushings but problem persist.

I want a mechanic that will point out the issue when he drives or diagnose the vehicle.

I don’t want multiple trials and error Abeg.

Hello everyone.
I'm a first time car owner.
I got a Honda Accord 2008.
Please I need pointers. I know nothing about cars grin
How often do I need to change oils and service it?
What type of oil is best for it?
The AC blows fan but it's not cold. How do I go about fixing it?
Every other thing in the car is excellent and it drives well.

Opinions and advice are welcome.

For the oil change interval, depends on the oil. Use 5W30 if bought Tokunbo, or ask previous owner what oil they use and continue with it. Change every 3 months/3,000 miles whichever comes 1st for mineral oil or 6 months/6,000 (safe spot) with good filters whichever comes 1st for synthetic oil.

You'll need a technician to physically inspect the A/C. Call 07089030689 for proper diagnosis.

Are you sure of 5W-30 bro? He should check what is on his oil cap. A colleague who bought an 03 accord last year ending, changed the engine and started using 5W30 instead of 5W-20 on the cap is having issues with the car now. This is honda application guide and what I see there is 5W-20

What makes you think the engine started having issues because he used a 5W-30 instead of a 20?
Have you also wondered why oils designed for higher milage cars have slightly higher viscosity?
That's a 2003 car with well over 100k in miles.

Your car has an overheating issue or a leakage within the engine cooling system

I have this same issue. Initially the radiator was leaking, but it has been '' patched '' up. However I noticed that while driving the car the temperature gets to almost half on the dashboard unlike before when it's just a quarter and that makes me need to always pour water inside the radiator every morning. Pls what is causing this over heating issue (Honda crv 2007)

A mechanic that still patches up radiator in this 21st century should quit been a mechanic. Replace mechanic same way you should replace your radiator

He scanned the car and he is having error code P0010 or so. Will find out from him. But he said something about the camshaft actuator malfunctioning due to the wrong oil he used. I stand to be corrected though. We learn everyday.

Using a 5W-30 in place of a 5W-20 didn't give him that code.
