Rubbish. That advert was a true reflection of what IPOB, LP and Obi planned in Lagos.
It was a good way of sensitizing Lagosians and Yorubas in general and it worked perfectly.

Igbos won't buy ur apology try Again another time
That is all we get all the time after the madness like the one experienced on Saturday.

Meanwhile, there is no concrete step to address the unjustified provocation of the Igbos...

I am sorry for those taking the forbearance of the Igbos for granted...

But the people that called Gbadebo an igbo trying to take over Lagos and give it to Igbos were not thugs , they are well educated Yoruba's like femi fani kahode , tinubu himself went to south east for campaign and said obi ran away from anambra to live in the lagos he built , he said same thing in cross river about their governor
Did TINUBU lie?
Did Obi not ran away from Anambra to Tinubu lagos? kiss

Nigeria has shown the entire world their hate towards igbo people. I ask again which igbo leader or igbo person of repute came out openly to say "Lagos is no-man's Land"? That is what is called beer parlor gossip. So yoruba people brought asking about lagos that predates the almagation of Nigeria and put it on the igbos. The Lagos is no-mans land referred to what the place was called by slaves going to America.
But I am happy it happened. I rember how I use to tell those IPOB people to let Nigeria unravel itself then everyone would know its not worth it.

why dont yorubas hate adelekes. Almost allthe adelekes are married to igbos. Why dont we hate akeredolu? I supported Gbadebo to win, but it was tough for me campaigning for him cos the igbos were making it hard with their hate speeches online. Apc capitalized on that.

Alot hatful things has been said about the adeleke's when divido's child died kemi said the most hatful thing about it , she said the adeleke's grandmother laid a curse of them for marrying igbo women and ifyeanyi's death is the effect of that curse

Yoruba's once called obasanjo an igbo man from onitsha

The Igbos didn't make anything hard for Gbadebo , Yoruba's started creating hatful speech making it look like the hate speech was from igbos

Dear Igbo People,

I sincerely apologize for allowing a toxic political banner advert which said, "Lagos can never be run from Anambra; go and vote" to run on Nairaland for several hours on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.

The mischievously worded banner advert appears to have been part of an ethnically divisive political campaign aimed at securing Lagos State for the ruling party by instilling fear in Yoruba people, making them believe that Igbo people intended to "take over" Lagos State.

Such ethnically divisive political campaigns have no place in a forward-thinking democracy, and for this reason, the ad should have been taken down instantly. No harm was intended, but my lack of forethought about the ethics of that type of advert led to a disappointing outcome.

We should have had a clear policy against accepting negative and ethnically divisive ads on Nairaland, we should have communicated it to all advertisers, and we should have taken down any advert that violated that policy instantly. This will all be in place before the next election.

We made almost N16,000 from the ad. We will double it and donate it to victims of political violence in Lagos.

Please, do NOT give up on Nigeria. The times are challenging, but TOGETHER, we will overcome.

Sincerely,
Seun Osewa.

You are joking, aren't you?

MC Oluomo maybe a tout but the curious silence of the so-called good Yorubas looks like a tacit approval of the activities of the social miscreants...

You might not believe it but most Nigerians now see all Yorubas as the same whether Christian or Muslim...

Seun or whatever you call yourself, may thunder without pity fire your dirty and god-forsaken mouth.
God will surely punish you for the kind of division you personally have created in this country. Check my details here. I have been on this platform from 2010 till date. But little did i know i am enriching a tribal bigot, who can do anything just to prove he hates the Igbos. You can ban me, but i must have to tell you this, my hatred for your personality started immediately i saw that ad. I have forgotten about the ones you have done before, but this particular ad is the height of it. My younger brother was severely wounded in Lagos just because of the speeches and promotions from you and your fellow tribal bigots. What is still keeping me in your nairaland now is the fact that i have not seen any other news platform that i can always log in to take updates from. Buy i promise you, soonest, I will see.
You allowed yourself to be used as a political tool to distablize the nation, when you are supposed to be neutral, vet and go through any post you are supposed to make. But just take this from me for free. "what goes around will sure come around"
Those shops that were burnt and brought down, do you know how many people are dependent on it? It is well.
Now you have the effrontery to come and apologize when you have already succeeded in achieving your main aim for the act. We will definitely forgive, but to forget, I cannot guarantee that.
Thank you so much.
I am waiting for your ban

As for me I don't have anything against the Yoruba's , but what happened in Lagos affected alot of people physically and mentally , and it will affect Yoruba's more cause a Yoruba is the president now , the hate the Fulani's experience will be transferred to the Yoruba's now for the next 4 yrs cause nobody is smiling in this country now

So if one misguided fellow call your father's house no man's house, the sensible thing to do is to join them to make both of you fool's...

Why all the insecurities?

Ogbeni, stop acting cowardly..

Lagos is your land: It is plain senseless that you are apparently looking for any semblance of affirmation from an Igboman or whoever to validate it...

Oga, it is pointless attempting to throw money at an insidious and deep-seated problem...

The probable solution should be to diagnose it and then adopt methodologies targeted at its eradication...

Typical Ipob brain who can't see beyond his nose. That useless egbere TV had no fact to backup the gibberish they claimed one Sisi Yemmi wrote yet your brain swallowed it like the typical Ipob brain.

That said, if anyone act brainless and uncultured towards our heritage just for useless attention seeking, then the person shouldn't be surprised to be termed a useless bastard because that's what he or she is.

Yoruba are naturally brainy, cultured and won't denigrate our heritage for useless attention seeking.
Yoruba's were known for warring amongst themselves before the white man came and united them. If not for Nigeria that happened to you all, there would have been still killings as the last ife-modakeke wars showed. That barbaric nature is still in some of you bloods. You are only picking on the igbos to satisfy your primitive cravings.

Yoruba had an empire. Of course we have got warlords who were always fighting..

Yoruba are generally accomodating but don't take it for granted or start to provoke us on our land because you won't like the end result of it. You can't even take half of what you dish out.

If that were the only problem on this forum I’d be like “No problem apology accepted”. We all make mistakes and no one should be denied redemption if they seek it.

But seun that ad is the least and I mean the very least of the problems you’ve allowed flourish on this forum. I didn’t even see the ad and I’ve been knowing what issues this forum faces.

You allow things that draw traffic to go to front page. And in a country like Nigeria where a lot of bigotry is common, your high traffic areas are ethnic bigotry, misogyny and other phobias. That’s what consistently makes the front page on your forum because that’s where the money lies.

You may not be biased at heart, but you profit from those biases.
