Ircc conducts a surprise all program draw.
7000 ITAs
Cut offs: 484
Congrats to all ITA clinchers. Who would have thought....
With these back to back large number draws within one week making it 14,000 ITAs sent out in total between last week and today and expect another large ITAs also next week before the end of March, and with Immigration ministers (FMRI) endorsing multi-year PNP levels plan, it means IRCC already set to announce and begin it program specific/occupation In demand/language specific draws by mid April based on Bill C19, where CRS score will no longer be a factor for getting ITA

Hello house,

Please I have a question. I took the IELTS again...LRSW- 8.5, 7, 7.5, 7. The first time I took the IELTS I got a 6.5 in Listening and 7.5 in the others. My understanding was an improved listening score should improve my CRS points but no change at all when I updated my scores on the application portal there was no change in my CRS score.

Please any advice?

So it means provinces would be more involved in the selection right? Based on their labour market needs

I should note that my overall band did not change when I took both tests. Band was still 7.5.

Did you remember to transmit? If yes, give it time, it would regularize itself. Sometimes their website can be very frustrating.

Thank you for your reply, could you kindly suggest a website that is efficient for ordering Gcms and delivery swiftly?

CRS will always be a factor to getting ITA. iRCc said that they would do all-program draws alongside their C-19 draws

I hope you were patient enough to leave your profile as it is and get today’s invite. A surprise draw of 484, all programs draw, 7000 invites was done today.
The points can always be recalculated before submitting the ITA.

I’ll also suggest you wait to give birth in Naija. While sorting out your plans, you can begin the process of adding your baby. Alberta offers immediate coverage, but landing in a province close to delivery without strong support is going to be very hard, even as the weather is getting warmer.

Check YouTube . A Naija lady documented her experience giving birth 5 days after landing.

Please I will like to ask a question using this scenario below;

For outsourced staffs for example. when filling employment details on their profile, should the outsourcing agency be stated as the employer or should it be the organization they were outsourced to.

I will appreciate your assistance in this regards.

Thank you.

She can do it. She and her husband should go to Alberta. I have a friend that did the same thing. She planned to stay in Toronto and landed in Alberta because of her pregnancy. She landed in the middle of covid lockdown, so you can imagine how tough things were. Later, she and her husband decided to remain in Alberta because they fell in love with the province. They have a house they bought now, and life is going great.
As long as she has a supportive partner, she can do it. Many people move to countries where they don't know anyone.

The whole process of adding another baby could take up to an extra year. You can't trust Canada and their timelines. Let her go and give birth to her Canadian citizen and enjoy free healthcare and benefits.

Also, she won't be giving birth 5 days after landing. She said she would be 30 weeks pregnant so there would be enough time for them to settle down and plan.

Why would you want to delete it? Is there no way to decline and probably accept this current one? Or maybe you should just go ahead with filling it.
I will advise that you and your spouse should weigh your options before making decisions.

Thank you for the encouragement. Yes, I'll still have 10 weeks before my due date by the time I land. I gave birth to my first in the middle of the lockdown with no possibility of family traveling to Lagos to help so my husband and I are accustomed to caring for a newborn on our own. We’ll just have to do it.

Yeah, the guy should accept the ITA and reclaim everyone in it. 488 is higher than 484!

he got ITA in the last draw and no longer in the pool. If he recalculates the scores will be compared to that draw not this current 484.

In this journey, everything is possible if you plan well. Most folks will discourage you but I know that adding a baby to your application can take a loooong time. Mine took nearly a year. I'd say go for it. You can choose to land in Ontario, If you do, you will get immediate health coverage; my sister-in-law gave birth 10 weeks after landing and didn't pay a cent. subsequently, as soon as you get released from hospital, you can fly out to BC to stay with your brother, then implement the rest of your plan. Sis, you can do it.

Abercrome:
Hi Senior parents in the house,

My family and I are planning to land in Canada towards the end of May. I’m currently pregnant and will be 30 weeks pregnant by the time we land. Our plan is to land in Burnaby, BC given that my brother stays there and himself and his wife have offered to house us during our initial months especially given my current state.

From my research, the Medical Service Plan (MSP) for BC doesn’t become active until you have spent 3 months in the province. The advice given by BC government is for newly-landed immigrants to register for private insurance that can cover them during the 3 month waiting period. However, private insurance doesn’t seem to cover childbirth. I will most likely go into labour before the lapse of the 3 months and because I’ve had a prior C-section, I am likely to have a C-section again. The out-of-pocket cost for C-section is around CAD12k which is a lot and unlikely to be refunded by the time my MSP becomes active.

I’d appreciate any advice I can get from those who have had babies in their first few months of landing. What do you think is my best bet?

Ermmm. I didn’t say she couldn’t do or that it’s impossible. I only gave an opinion whilst painting a realistic picture of what to expect. And, the YouTube video is for her to get information. Obviously if someone can do it in 5 days, her situation is not impossible.

Wish her all the best.

If he includes himself in the application, the point would only be recalculated for the rounds which got him the first ITA in which he wouldn’t be eligible for at 488. The last draw was 490.
