the guest on the programme in question Datti Baba -Ahmed said the President of the country Muhammadu Buhari should not swear in the President -elect because he did not score 25% vote in the FCT, being one of the prerequisites for being declared winner. This is a subversive statement since the matter is before the tribunal and is among the issues submitted in their petition to the courts for adjudication. Therefore until and unless the court rules otherwise, the status quo is the INEC position as declared in the final results"


Datti baba Ahmed is right for arguing that Bola Tinubu did not win February 25,2023 presidential election. The 1999 constitution of Nigeria clearly stated three criteria for deciding who wins presidential election in Nigeria. These three criteria are (1) winner of popular vote (2) winner of 24 out of Nigeria 36 states and (3) win 25 % of votes in the Federal capital of Nigeria. Today and according to INEC own record, Bola Tinubu only got 19 % of votes in Abuja?

How much more does Bola Tinubu not understand that he did not fulfill the requirement as stated in the constitution to be elected president?

Can't wait until the Supreme Court rules on this matter!

I recall that Obi was declared winner in Anambra from number 3 against Ngige and Mbadinuju

Please, can you give us two examples where he was constituting nuisance?

I will state over six comment of APC spoke persons insisting voilence. One was even invited by DSS. Even the president elect

When you're neutral, you see the part of justice.

Mine is, justice Should be served. If anyone deserves to be arrested by the virtue of their utterances and conducts, such Should be done without time wasting. MC Oluomo is still working freely as we speak...

Nigeria need to regulate all media before we self destruct.
We can't continue like this. Even Seun has decided to regulate nairaland.
What you call freedom of speech is just reckless use of social media and can cause problems for our national life.
I was suspended on Nairaland few weeks ago, because I posted here that the Gtbank may be going bankrupt because I couldn't access my money, their app stopped working, and unable to talk to their customer support staff despite all effort made.
I realized that my post may hurt the business of Gtbank because people may panic and start closing their accounts.
People must be made responsible for things they say in public.

Datti Ahmed knew that LP doesn't have strong and convincing evidences hence the need to say all those trash to get public sympathy.

If he's sure of his evidence, he would not be threatening, bcoz to me he threatened Buhari and Nigeria, and he wants to be VP. How can a democrat be calling the military to end the 4th Republic just bcoz he lost? What about Buhari that lost 3 times before he got it the 4th time?

If you're sure of your evidence, you don't need to come on national TV to threaten. I challenged him before the election that he would not win Kaduna for Eluuupeee and he lost.

I equally challenged Eluuupeee that it would not win 2 states in the governorship election.

For the avoidance of doubt, Tinubu is the president elect as we speak today and he would be sworn in whether Eluuupeee like it or not.

What do you expect from a man surrounded by the Northerners? The likes of ElRufai and co are used to clamping down the media and/or intimidate people which is why there isn't freedom of speech at all in he North.

For majority of Nigerians that has little or no understanding about politics- Many couldn't believe when Tinubu chose Shettima as his running mate. FYI Rumor has it that Shettima is in one way or the other sponsoring the dreaded Boko Haram. Tinubu knows this and believe if the man is his VP he would be able to tame his Boko dogs or reduce the menace to bearest minimun during his regime.

Nigeria politics is deeper than alot of people thought.

Nigeria has been put on trial, and the unfolding events will determine it's continued existence. When all vital institutions have been destroyed by the ruling party, men of conscience have decided to throw out the lifeline. There's nothing to be afraid of again, when democracy has been murdered. They should arrest as many as they can, sanction as many as they can; the DISSIDENTS VOICES WILL ONLY CONTINUE TO GROW.

An unknown face like you can say such things Datti said and nobody will care a hoot, but coming from the VP aspirant? he crossed the line,

The case is already in court, why running from one media house to the other making claims you want Judges to rule on? This might even be an evidence of guilt rather than what he is claiming. Present all your evidence in court of law not the court of public opinion to gain sympathy, that one no dey work with judges, na evidence dem need.
