From Ja606,

RipleysCat (U1862)

Give a manager a team to manage.

Employ back room staff to sign players for the manager to manage.

Give the manager less time to manage those players over and above the time given to those players.

Give the manager a 3-4 year contract in order to do so.

Sack the manager and pay him off, because he is the cheaper option.

Keep the back room staff who signed the players.

Keep the players who are signed.

Conclusion:

The epitome of the short term vision club, who has owners that want success now, and when that success doesn’t happen (in 7 months, when nothing can be really won or lost), panic and sack the easiest choice.

Equals:

Joke of a club that has leaders at the helm who don’t know how to lead.

Rinse and repeat, across clubs all over the country. No matter how big or small.

Going forward: same mistakes made again 18 months later…

…and…

…rinse and repeat.

No Victor Osimhen in action later today but it would be such fun watching two of the very best Left Wingers on the planet today battle it out in the epic Napoli vs Milan War in Serie A.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia vs Rafael Leao. And remember that with Osimhen, yes, Napoli are another Animal altogether but Napoli have also won all 7 games this season when Osimhen was out injured.

Today will tell if that tale continues.

And did it continue? Nope.

Milan wins. Napoli loses for the first time this season without Osimhen and WOEFULLY too. They missed him big time.

Beautiful take. Just matches what I stated above especially at the emboldened.

Another thing from Kelechi's Nwakali's game that thrilled me was his close control of the ball. He has this gift of keeping the ball close to him in tight situations that makes it difficult for him to lose possession.

However, Kelechi Nwakali looks built for the possession game. He makes intelligent choices with his short passes play too.

I liked what I saw, even though his team did not play to control the game effectively. Lugo looked the better side and they also have a brilliant long passer in their team. i could not get his name.

The first bolded is explained in one compound term... "Top notch Press resistance". Nwakali has that on lock.

The 2nd bolded must refer to Xavier Torres (CB) or Carbo (a MF). Most Central Defenders in La Liga 2 are adept at Long passes. Nwakali is the only midfielder hitting 6 long balls per game on average in La Liga 2 and the only MF in the top 3. The other 2 are Central defenders.

It is Xavi Torres.

Another good mention is Nwakali's team goalkeeper. He is electric. He made good saves too. He even pulled off this dribble on the striker of Lugo FC that got the fans of both sides clapping. Nice guy too.

Yeah. The GK was part of Iran's WC team to Qatar. He's pretty decent.

On a serious note, I hope club managements learn from these two sacks. Allow the manager make his choices. Many execs in clubs are so full of themselves and want to form the brains behind success. However, it does not work that way.

A manager is as good as his system. As soon as he can't play his system, or lose belief in it, then he spirals down.

Look at Boehly for instance. Instead of sacking Tuchel, he should have given him Declan Rice. Tuchel believes in the philosophy of Declan Rice playing style and believed he would have added to his success.

Meanwhile, Boehly and co. sacked Tuchel, and then went on a shopping spree. They bought players based on their own ideology, forgetting that it is not their system that would be played.

The same goes for Brendan Rodgers. He did not like Iheanacho, and also wanted Eduard. He likely wanted other players but did not get the support.

I wish both managers the best and will keep my eyes out for them.

No manager hardly gets 100% support from the board when it comes to signing players... You can't say that if Tuchel had signed Rice, things would have turned out different for him. In the same way, Rodgers didn't want Iheanacho, but I'm sure he wanted Ayoze Perez and Daka, neither of whom performed any better than Nacho..

I think Daka and Perez were like the best Leicester City could offer him from his preferred choices. My take is that, if coaches are not heavily backed, the team loses momentum.

Leicester aren't that much of a rich club, so they can't afford players like that...but then,I recall that Rodgers signed so many players during his stint with Liverpool and majority turned out to be flops... He couldn't properly manage them.... I totally agree with your last statement anyway, cus it's what Liverpool at facing right now

I swear... Even with Osimhen, they will struggle but won't play as bad as how they played yesterday. Osimhen has this vibe and energy he brings to the team and I hope they appreciate him the more now 🔥

It should be another way around,

Rogers was biased toward the 2 of them, and more than once had caused the team games,

So he getting sack is for the good of the duo and Club,

Much Ado to a genius indeed

Brandon gave KC way more opportunity than any other coach in his Leicester career.

So this may not necessarily be good news for the KC die hard fans.

Well, there are different angles to it.

One, Napoli could intensify preparation due to the loss and be more lethal. On the flip side, or could affect Napoli's confidence cause they didn't just lose, they lost by a lot. They where "stripped naked" at home.

Another positive for Napoli is that they'll be playing the first leg in San Siro. I still see Napoli carrying the day.

This joke got me... grin Had to share it.

WeekendOffender (U22920)

A guy dies and at the pearly gates St Peter is waiting for him,
"OK, you been a bit naughty down there you have to finish a task before we let you in. "
"Alright, let's get on with it, " the bloke replied. With that St Peter got an old bucket with a hole in it and said,
"See that ocean down there, you have to empty it using just the bucket. "
"Are you taking the pi55?" said the bloke, "is there anything else I can do?"
"Well let's have a look, yes, the Spurs managers job has just become available, you can do that until they win a trophy. "
"FFS, "replied the bloke, "pass me the facking bucket. "

😂😂,. Funny as this might be, it seams to be the reality.. Spurs had two title winning coaches Who won trophies at every club they coached until they went to Spurs......
Even I would have placed a bet on Mourinho to win something, even if it's a tea cup but Spurs happen to him
