According to the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria, Nigeria has no president elect.
FCT abuja has a mandatory percentage according to our constitution.

Every state in Nigeria has an elected governor
Abuja is governed by the president. So it makes sense for the governor of abuja to at least have a percentage of votes from those he governs.

We are in for an interesting ride in the court. The authentic winner of this election will get his mandate at the end of it all.
Tinubu team knows it and that us why they are killing themselves with propagandas

OBIDATTI is coming.

Is that all you understand?
I don't know anyone who ever said that a presidential candidate must WIN the FCT.
They are only saying he should get 25% of the votes there because of the AND in the constitution.
The idea is to ensure that a Pan Nigerian president is elected and Abuja happens to be Nigeria's Center of Unity.
If a presidential candidate cannot get 25% in the FCT, then how popular is such a candidate?
Thank you.

Please stop this petty propaganda.
The legal experts mean that your candidate should get as little as 25% of the votes tmin the FCT to become Nigeria's president in addition to the other requirements
That shouldn't be too much for a Pan Nigerian president, should it?
BTW, since 1999, has there been an elected Nigerian president who did not garner 25% from the FCT Abuja?
Thank you.

OBIDIENTS GATHER HERE!
We must strategize and be like OBI.
What is happening in Nigeria is also happening on NL

1. Have you been banned unnecessarily but a 'bot mod'?
2. Have you been visciously attacked on NL by APC-THUGS AKA SUPPORTERS?
3. Do you find yourself being provoked without rhyme or reason?
4. Do you have your threads imploded by APC ethno-religious bigots on NL?
5. Are you being stalked, harrased and threatened on NL by the usual APC BIGOTS?

Indeed, there is a war going on.
This war has many phases.
The most important war in the JUDICIAL SYSTEM OF NIGERIA where the stolen mandate can and WILL BE RETRIEVED! kiss
You still have a voice and THE OBI-DATTI movement must be supported.
The infiltrates will work tirelessly to tear you down in the coming months and years, but we must not back down.

We must have codes we should abide by here on NL, as things are getting out of hand in Nigeria and on NL.
We must never degenerate to the AGBADO slums to tangle with AGBADO swineherd.

Suggestions:

Henceforth:

1. DO NOT RESPOND TO ANY ETHNO-BIGOTTED THREAD BY THE OPPOSITION.
2. IGNORE ALL MENTIONS BY THE ETHNO-BIGOTTED OPPOSITION ON NL.
3. ONLY RESPOND TO INTELLECTUAL THEADS WITH NEWS ITEMS-NOT BIGOTTED OPINIONS.

Do not feed the pigeons. . . or they will try to shyte all over you.
Keep your eyes on the price only.

Blessings to all OBIDIENTS.

I was banned for responding to an insult. Since NL doesn't want to see well thought out ideas and presentations - something people pay to get from me as a legal adviser, I have advised myself to deploy a READ ONLY MODE. Your advise is timely and apt. Sadly the external readers won't see deep comments to read. Let us all keep reading the garbage some people post and hold them as gospel truths

Peter Obi and his supporters are funny. In one hand they say that Obi won the election and in another hand they say that the election should be cancelled since the president elect didn't have 25% in Abuja....

What exactly do these people want?

President Buhari crossed the 15 million mark in votes scored in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

He polled 15,191,847 votes, winning in 19 of the states, after the result of Rivers was added.

His main challenger Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party scored 10,782, 007 votes and won 17 states and Abuja.

A very insightful interpretation and can easily be juxtaposed with the current results. Interesting days ahead.

Why even bother with a nationwide election then. We can as well just let the winner of Abuja take all since residents of Abuja have 10 heads grin

Anyways, INEC would have consulted their legal team before announcing that Asiwaju won the election.

Only 2 conditions were itemized. If 25% in FCT was a 3rd condition, it would’ve been itemized as ‘c’

Old comer to politics, open your eyes, read and digest the constitution of the country you claim to come from.

You do not need to win FCT. But you must have at least 25% of votes of FCT to be president. That is the constitution of federal republic of Nigeria.

No Sir, I did not forget. I am not even talking about who won and by what margin, I am only clarifying the argument that Abuja was not reckoned and here I have seen proof that the two guys in that election won Abuja in the margin as provided by the constitution. I am tired of this forward and backward arguments. These guys ain't paying me a dime please. Whatever makes Nigerians happy. Tinubu won, let the courts just affirm him so we can move on. I hope you are happy now?

NO It's not.. FCT is not even a State, so how will you single out FCT to claim a man that got national spread of votes isn't fit to be declared winner?

So it's Obi that won only in SE and parts of SW with nothing to show in North that INEC should declare as winner. Where is even the sense in that??.

The next time Obi makes any unguarded statement, DSS should arrest him and charge him for treason.. If heaven wants to fall, let it fall.

Gbam. You nailed it, I couldn't have said it better.

For me, the judgement of the court in this instance will be a landmark decision, it should improve Nigeria's legal jurisprudence and i am anticipating the legal fireworks to commence. I wish they will air the proceedings live for the world to see how erudite our lawyers and judges are.
