I have uncle who worked as a teacher for 12 years without any single achievement before getting married.
No house, no car, no investment.
How can a man that worked for 12 years before getting married didn't achieve anything in this life when Nigeria was indeed a better country?
This was from 1976-1988.
Yet after getting married he couldn't still achieve
Anything with 23 years left in active service.
He couldn't train his children at University.

I think this man should be tired up and face a firing squad for letting his children down.

Teachers are not well paid generally. You can't fully blame your uncle. He can't give what he doesn't have. How much is his salary that you expect him to build a house and a car? For instance a level 8 lagos state teacher earn 62k currently as a fresh graduate. Promotion is every 3 years and is not certain. Salary increment on each promotion is just 10k.

That is the reality of most Male Teachers in Nigeria untill now even you will not see them wearing good clothes and shoes some of them are even been fed by their female colleagues.

I am very serious. Lagos state teacher salary is still even better. Oyo state teacher are paid 54k as a fresh graduate. Still promotion is not automatic. Most states in Nigeria even pay far less.
