You may wish to change the battery and try again. I had similar issue until I changed my battery

Kingstel:
Please help urgently...

My 09 honda city not responding well to keyless remote when trying lock or unlock the car. I have to try it many times since yesterday.
Or is the remote battery weak? The remote sensor light blinks and the car light, but the doors won't lock.

What could be the problem?

Depends on what you want. I think for family and pleasure, the Accord. For ehailing, the Civic.

However let's wait for the gurus.

Thank you so much.

It's for personal use, moving from home to work which is like 15 mins tops, then an odd visit here and there. That's all. No plans to use it for ehailing.

Thanks once again. If there's any other tips, I'd appreciate.

No qwams...go for the Accord sharp.

My people, is it advisable to ring a Honda Accord 2000 engine?
Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Originakalokalo(m): 10:34pm On Apr 04, 2023
Honda Accord vibrations

Let me try to explain this issue.

Car drives well.

However, when I apply the break and the gear on DRIVE, rpm goes to 500 while the bonnet vibrates....that is engine vibrations.

If I turtle just a bit let's say rpm increases to 700 vibrations stop and further drive is excellent.

Car idle smoothly in PARK around 700-800 rpm.

Please note that all engine mount are in top shape.

Car is Honda Accord 2007.

My question.

1. Why this vibrations?

2. Rpm is not low on idle ( car in Park)
If rpm is low, can it be adjusted in Honda Accord 2007?

It is a puzzle that has remained unsolved.

Kindly help me.

Codes

P0141

P02185.

I don't think they have anything to do with the vibrations.

P0141 is for downstream oxygen sensor. It's just for Cat monitoring and emissions.

P02185 is for the second ECT sensor at the radiator.

You can rebuild any engine with the right tools, parts, and technical know how.

I am not an engineer but I had a similar problem December last year. Turned out one of my fans were not working and hence when I am in traffic and moving slow, with the air-conditioner on, I experienced heavy vibrations and the RPM drops to about 500. But when I am on the highway without restriction, no vibration and my RPM climbs to the normal 750 to 850. Immediately I changed that fan, it became normal. So you might want to also check out your fans.

If you’re sure of the following things being in good condition and working order

1. Your entire engine and transmission mounts

2. Your front engine mount being oem and has its vacuum hose properly connected

3. Your engine mount control solenoid (mounted just below your engine cover with two small hoses attached to it from your intake manifold and to your front mount) being in proper working order

4. Your engine timing chain and guides in god condition

5. No broken or missing bolts holding either your power steering pump or compressor

Then your last resort is to check the chain controlling your engine’s balance shafts in the bottom half of your engine. You will have to remove the timing chain cover and oil sump to inspect this part. Sometimes they get misaligned or a component gets worn and you’d forever experience vibrations no matter what in the engine.

The car was just bought and the previous owner (the first owner) used Mobil XHP 1000. I cannot say much about the performance for now but i was hoping that using Mobil Super 2000 5W30 will improve performance of the engine and still keep i running for a long time.

The car will be used for e-hailing.
did you use mobil super 2000 5w30? Was there an improvement I'm in the same situation.

Abeg if the air fuel sensor upstream is not tightly screwed in place, can it cause air to enter the engine
It's so loose at the moment

I think the threading on the exhaust is bad

No it shouldn't unless you have bad exhaust valves.
It would make louder noise though, but not suck in air into the engine.

Oh thanks.
It's just my car has vibrating than usual and now jerking. Sometimes the check engine light starts flashing.
Codes show cylinder 2 and 3 misfire, then added 4,but mostly 2 and 3. Already changed a coil.
Many times the misfire follows those two coils in cylinders 2 and 3
Also the sensor does not work anyway

Did you try swapping those faulty coils with a known working one? If the misfire still remains after swapping, then you'll have to do the following:
1. Inspect spark plugs and replace bad ones.
2. Check the nozzles to know if they're blocked. Replace or clean as the case my be.
3. Check fuel pressure to see if it's up to manufactures spec. Replace complete pump assembly if pressure is low, clean fuel lines and replace external filter if you have one.
4. Replace O² sensor as it is known to trick the ECU into leaning or enriching the fuel mixture. A live scan should guide you better.
5. If after doing these and the misfire remains, run a wet and dry compression test on each cylinder to know if valves are bad.
All the best.

Urgent help please...

Overheating sign appears on the dashboard after driving for about 10 mins yesterday for Honda City.

It happened again today and the mechanic removed the engine thermostat. The sign appeared again just as I was about to park the car in the compound.

The radiator and fan working well with water and coolant intact.

Your regular Bluetooth scanner is enough.
What you should 1st do is swap the bad coil to a known good coil from cylinder 1 and 4 to eliminate if it's a coil issue. Also do same for the plugs too.
It won't cost you anything as you're not buying any part.

You need to run further diagnosis to know why it's happening.
Use a live scan to know what temperature the car gets to when the light comes up.
It could be anything from a bad water pump, radiator cap, bad radiator, or bad gasket (since you said your fan and coolant level is intact)

You are mixing it up..
- Thermostat does not control the fan..
- Thermostat is a valve which opens or closes depending on engine temperature.. It opens to allow cool coolant pass through the engine.
-Your cooling fan is controlled by a coolant temperature switch(thermistor)/fan switch or by the ECU which gets engine temperature values via coolant temperature sensors.
-On your Honda, Cooling fans are suppose to come on when the engine coolant temperature is above 95degC

So now back to you question..
If your cooling fan is rewired to start running immediately engine starts,It won't cause overheating(assuming no other issue with the Cooling system) instead it will cause overcooling since the coolant temperature will never get to 90degC..
This will make the car consume a little more fuel and ECU will throw a P0184 code - Coolant Temperature Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature
Bros I need your help. After my mechanic change my engine sitting. The car start show code P0128.

I have cleared this code several times but it keep coming. The fun don't on during start. After the engine has warm up that when the fan starts. It on and off in circles. My mechanic said everything is fine as far as the thermostat works.

I don't want anything that will cause damage to engine.
