Things are Happening in this country. I always try to help whenever I can. I know of a family that died of starvation around me. If u are faraway u may not believe believe of scammers, but some stories can be true though

Some people have missed a life time opportunity by that bad attitude/primitive way of thinking. Why don't you just pick and know why the person is calling, if it's what you don't wanna hear you can decide to end the call...... Nobody can force you to continue with a discussion on phone if you don't want it.

an upcoming pastor (by upcoming I mean he is just starting a church) once told me he don't pick calls from strange numbers, unless they text first stating their reason for calling.

I just laugh.

I think a text would do, you can't just assume that the guy/lady is refusing to pick your call, what if there was no call credit to call you back?

On Nairaland today, I'm praying God to grant me a Destiny Helper cos I am at the verge of doing something stupid. I have a wife and two kids, lost my small job I was managing. Presently I've been subject to all forms of ridicules & mockery by my wife & her family. She has left me to her parents house. My kids did not eat anything for the Easter because I don't have. They are crying. I feel like I have failed. I have done all sorts of odd jobs to feed them, but the jobs aren't coming now. I am begging anybody who can read this to pls help my kids so they can eat. Secondly, I need a job. Even if it's a house help job, pls give me let me do before I kill myself. The situation is unbearable.

Mine is more about emergencies. I went out and lost my money. My phone battery was dead, I didn't have any way of getting home. I needed my mum to send money to money to the POS person so that I can get cash and transport myself home. I kept calling with the person's number, she didn't pick. It was my brother who eventually helped me out. When I got home, she said she saw the calls but she doesn't pick calls of unsaved numbers. If someone else had not picked the call, that is how I would have been stranded that day.

Oga, untill you have 10 people calling you with different numbers daily asking for one assistance or the other. Changing numbers to call you. Some you give today, by next week asking for more. It is even worse now. One my paddy has tuned it to quarrel. 1st month 20k to pay month end, I gave. Paid back, next 3 days, 50k, he paid back, next 3 days 100k, he paid back, next 3 days 200k! Omo, I explained say I no get. E turn to pestering me with calls! Now we don turn enemy. I knew that 200k was the one he will turn to story and not payback and nothing I can do to him as na childhood friend.
Anyway, what I basically do is have 2 lines. One for business. That is the line I use for my business adverts, banking, give to important folks. I seldom make calls with that line for years so few people know the number. This means if a call comes in from eg an unknown number, it is most likely business. I must pick.
The second line is my general line for making calls and that I hand over to people. I can even switch it off knowing I missed nothing.
Funny thing is that folks don't want to here say you no get, and me sef no body de give me when I need.

What if this person have given up on people because of the millions of turn downs and he doesn't believe on destiny helpers anymore?
