doom is so popular that it has currently been upgraded to run on modern hardware. the failure of the movie in hindsight and with the knowledge we have to day comes to decisions made by the rock and a complete bypassing of the source material.

Growing up with Mario will not make me watch an animated movie. I rarely watch animated movies outside anime. Movies and Games are two different mediums that do not always translate well with each other. A direct translation would be from children's games to animation. Children like both.
