Obi fuvk up big time, why approaching the court on election you know deep down you did not win. 6 millions votes is not a bean for a party that couldn't boldly claims 100k votes before in general elections. He should've build up on that and expand it against next election. Criminals in APC and PDP known this before, they just allow him to continue in ignorant, so that they will use it against him in court should he eventually win. Honestly, Obi is not a smart person to be allow to pilot affair of a complex country like Nigeria. |

The response of APC was predictable. Look for technical grounds to know off the petition rather than the merit of the case. |

9jaRealist:In the eye of the law, Obi should not be a Presidential Candidate and that is why Fagbemi quoted Section 77 (3) to back himself up. 27/05/2022 is just 4 days before the LP Primary's date of 30/05/2022. Obi's name was not in LP Party register sent to INEC 30 days before the Primary's date. He is not a member of LP. That is 100% flawed. |

CondenseMilk:Did you go to school at all? Why do you people always think in this empty manner? Cases taken court can ONLY proceed IF there are sound legal grounds ,and when such are lacking, the case is outrightly dismissed. Rotimi Williams was the greatest Nigerian layers of his time, if not of all time. He won almost all his cases on preliminary objections. He would take a cursor look at the wording of a charge ,take out one or two phrases in it and declare them inappropriate and irrelevant. Then bring out legal authorities to prove his stand. The case is dead, and would be dismissed. Abubakar Malami, the AGF , has also constantly pursued this line of legal arguments in all the cases brought against the FG. But his hollow legal understanding, experience and competence has always failed him to carry through. Donald Trump's layers are pursuing, ' preliminary objections ' in the indictments brought against him. It's the cheapest way to win a legal battle. It proves the legal team of the complaints not be sound, technically deficient and incompetent. Go and read the Nigerian Law Reports to educate yourself. This is NOT a case that can be handled by any Ibo lawyers. They always leave legal loopholes in their charge sheets. |

Arapmoi22:There are waivers, it's an internal party affair. Only an LP member contesting can take the matter to court. Besides it's a pre-election issue that have already been dealt with at an appeal court. |

I am shocked that of the issues for determination the APC and her lawyers didn't make mention of Tinubu's drug case. Is it a subtle admittance that indeed Tinubu is a drug lord and an exCORNvict. Why will Obi join Atiku in his case did we tell agbado that we are dragging second petition with Atiku?. Meanwhile the electoral act stipulates the submission of members register not lesser than 30days before it's primaries, Congress or convention. It didn't say the party cannot take in new members afterwards. And there is no stipulated penalty for doing so. |

Arapmoi22:Why do seem to be struggling with the distinction between (1) objections on pre-election matters (which btw the competing parties have made), and (2) objections against factual allegations of flawed elections? It is NOT mutually exclusive that Obi may not have been eligible to contest on the platform of the LP, as alleged by the APC response (or indeed that Tinubu was not qualified to contest for the presidency at all, as the LP itself alleges in its petition), and also that the elections itself was flawed and its results and outcome manipulated and rigged. TWO DIFFERENT AND DISPARATE MATTERS, but the latter was interestingly not being defended against in the APC response. > |

I thought they said the APC lawyers were brilliant. Is this the best they could come out with? Anyway, Tinubu has a terrible case. The Tinubu case is too bad and difficult to defend. I pity the sans. Obi want to turn them to Mumu. Very sad |

Arapmoi22:I hope you know the Appeal court has ruled on this issue previously in February when APM brought it up. One of the rulings was that only an LP Aspirant could challenge the nomination done by the LP as a party. Do you think the same Appeal court(which will constitute the tribunal) will reverse itself this time because Tinubu is involved? Is Tinubu now an LP Aspirant?? |

Ignorance is seeing the the presidential election process was very flawed but accepting the declaration by eye- neck as a fact... Nigeria is finished....Simple election, they cannot do the right thing. Some people supporting this and seeing it as the way forward is quite appalling. |

Clevite:. The Back Eend Server reports Obi relied upon have been jettisoned as secondary data at the AC in Oyetola vrs Adeleke 2023. Funny days ahead at the SC on the lagality and acceptability of Back End server reports from BVAS as litigation instrument in Nigerian electoral jurisprudence. ![]() |
