The devil tempted Jesus with verses to compare too, but the devil's misunderstanding was made clear just as your's is in assuming some Allah made a mistake in a book written and edited and translated by humans.

"They have taken their rabbis and monks as well as the Messiah, son of Mary, as lords besides Allah, even though they were commanded to worship none but One God", .....

Okay, Islam has context and ahadith so the texts are translated appropriately!

It's not all verses that can be subjected to a word by word translation. Many would be contextual with the Qu'ran and Hadith!

I think you should check the interlinear translation of the Bible below such that most translations couldn't agree on the correct number of years!

Saul was --years old when he began to reign; and two years he reigned over Israel.

7. AMERICAN STANDARD VERSION
Saul was forty years old when he began to reign; and when he had reigned two years over Israel

8. YOUNG'S LITERAL VERSION
A son of a year is Saul in his reigning, yea, two years he hath reigned over Israel

Use your interlinear Bible and pick the correct translation and tell us why the Holly spirit directed the other wrong translators to tell lies with such mistakes as you similarly abused Islam?
