Thanks,
To see a good mechanic with a live scan in Abuja is now the issue 🤔
jceesquare:

You need to run further diagnosis to know why it's happening.
Use a live scan to know what temperature the car gets to when the light comes up.
It could be anything from a bad water pump, radiator cap, bad radiator, or bad gasket (since you said your fan and coolant level is intact)

Your regular Bluetooth scanner should run a basic live scan including checking your coolant temperature.

I'm told to get a double cell radiator. Another mechanic told me to change the gaskets.

Inspect gear and engine mount. If bad, replace.
Inspect inner CV axle. If it has excessive play, replace.

Good day car gurus. Thanks for all the assistance here.

My Honda Accord 07 doesn't revv beyond 3000rpm. Again if I step on the clutch pedal forcefully for fast acceleration, the car will be jerking and when I release my foot, car drives fine if I press pedal gently.

Cars idles fine. No jerking while idle only jerks when I forcefully step hard on the pedal. What could likely be the challenge?

Service or replace the VTEC solenoid. It's located behind the engine at the passengers side

Air, Fuel, Spark one of them is missing reason for shutting down. If it continues you need to take it in for physical inspection, the technician will diagnose the three important things and find out which one is the cause.

Same scenario plays out with my Honda baby boy. It doesn't go beyond 4000rpm while accelerating. Also, the transmission doesn't shift to 5 but ends at 4 which makes the rpm to rise above 3 just @ 80km/hr. Any way out?

All the baby boy out there is 4gears ... You can't get gear 5 from babyboy , it ends in gear4 that's why you see the gear ends in D4, that is gear 1234 , as for the rpm not going past 4krpm, it's possible it's the brain box is in safe mode , this usually occur if the brain box is freecode, once the brain box is no longer coded, it goes to safemode where things are limited for the safety of the car, scan the car thou

I am thinking of purchasing a direct Belgium automatic Honda Civic 2005 for personal use/bolt and I have few questions for our experts here
1. Is the transmission very reliable?
2. How much can I get it in Lagos?
3. Is the manual more reliable than the automatic?
4. Does it easily pull its leg like the accord?
5. What are the likely problems I could face owning it?

Please what could make water dripping inside the front passenger seat when AC is on?

It started 3 days ago when it rained and I put on AC and heater while driving.

Check your AC discharge hose. You can check it by looking underneath the vehicle to see if you have sufficient water droplets from the hose as it used to. If not then it broken.

Also check your temperature switch mechanism (the one that switches between hot and cold temp) if it's functioning well. Turn the temp all the way to cold and see if it blows cold as before. If not, ask your AC guy to inspect
