Larrydelliy: Bro, please, have an open mind in an ethnic biased Society like Nigeria! In life, those who want to help you will not come straight but someone still needs to lift up your hands and in fact those who you think will help might dissapoint! There are good People in the East and bad people as well, there are good people in the West and bad ones likewise, there good people as well as bad ones in the South and there good People in the North and bad ones as well! We must determined to make efforts and be amongst the good ones. That is Nation building and how to be Patriotic! 3 Likes |

Don't mind them. They will sit here on nairaland telling us imolite what is happening in our state. All those people talking trash where u there on the day of election. We the people of mbaitolu didn't vote because apc came with ebubeagu, police and military men and hijacked the whole electoral materials including inec staff. So hope and apc have sworn to kill the little democracy our fathers fought very hard to get. Court should do the needful if they really want one Nigeria |

PlayerMeji:What lies? Those that produced over 6 million votes and tons of elected representatives just within 6 months? The way you folks reckon with LP as an opposition must be studied. It's more about the truth it LP represents that scares you, than the noise generated by many of It's supporters. PS: PO isn't about taking all but entrenching democracy (not selection). |

Saga16:Uche ogbuagu was given a chance before, because he was a known comedian with poor background. He got in and started misbehaving, even insulting people in his own constituency. He knew he was gonna lose, so he jumped into the LP wagon, hoping he'll win with Peter Obi popularity. Thing is, Igbos no dey forget foolish behaviour and they also hate tyranny with passion. So, they voted his stupid ass out. |

broadman20: You do know that what you've written is a gross generalisation. You seem to believe that every legit person in Nigeria is worse off than they were in 2015. This is NOT true. Everyone must take personal responsibility for their lives and stop making excuses. Nigeria can be much better but so can its people. Graduates coming out who can't write proper English, who copied projects, assignments and all suddenly want the country to lift them up. People who are too proud to consider starting at the bottom, want everything they see on television. If those in your echo chamber have all done badly then sing to them but don't come to a public space to speak generally about all Nigerians. 3 Likes 1 Share |

29 years means Court will still nullify his victory based on 1999 constitution except it has already been amended and signed into law. |

There's nothing money & power can't get get you or do. With both, even an 18 year old can run for governorship. It's well. |

BreconHills: That's the problem with most of you and until you leave the shores of this country you may never understand what those useless politicians you are supporting has done to this country. You people always forget what is called GENERAL PERCEPTION of everything. The general perception of Nigeria is that we have bad leadership because of foolish followers like you. I sincerely believed APC in 2015 and voted for them when they came with the change mantra, but what has changed? Has education improved? Has electricity improved? Has our health sector improved? What about safety of life and businesses? These are focal point to good standard of living, But because you don't ask yourself this question that's why most of you will continue supporting useless leaders and going in circles year in year out. Most of you needs help in Nigeria to think properly. |

broadman20: Hahaha unfortunately you are talking to someone who did his A levels, first degree and Masters in the uk, worked in the city as a lawyer and whose son is on the way to Cambridge. In spite of my international connections I take opposition to believing that the HDI is the sole and single means of establishing development. In a world where the 1% own 50% of global assets, 10% own 42.5% and 89% are scrambling for 7.5% you cannot use indices that leveraged long periods of colonial imperialism and slavery to make empirical conclusions. The question you should be asking if in Nigerians are breaking into the global 11% and the answer is yes. You only need to look at companies like flutterwave and pay stack to answer this. Were such companies breaking into the 11% ten years and longer ago? You also need to ask if the structure on inward usd flow has been Nigerianized or if it still depends on extractive international markets.? Well the truth is that Nigerian remittances ( read human capital) are now higher than oil receipts. In the property market you are seeing yields in abule egba and Yaba besting luxury properties in ikoyi and lekki. Small professional housing is now a better investment than luxury apartments. All prior paradigms are being upended even digital banking. This is probably why in the last year, Nigeria attracted more VC funding than anywhere else in Africa. What I am saying is that structurally the Nigerian economy is in better shape than it was before. The HDI is a lagging indicator for inflow and earnings distribution. Over the next 8 years you will see the positive impact of nigerianized usd inflows. Are we seeing home made improvements in health care? Yes!. HMO services are becoming more accessible and better quality. Locals are setting up multi point health services for the mass to middle class. Check out Afiya healths Rjolad offering. The remaining problem is rooted in the poor educational experience and sense of entitlement of the Nigerian youth. That is the huge mountain to be cured because there are so many of them. Let me round up by saying if you ask a woman in labour if she is feeling worse than before the onset of labour she definitely say yes. But if you ask her if the pregnancy should be painlessly terminated so she can go back to feeling better the answer will resoundingly be no. Stop panicking. Nigeria is on the way. 2 Likes 2 Shares |
