In fact, I can't really relate to the picture you're trying to paint here.

First red flag for me is you posted in relation to the man Op made reference to as though you connected with him on some level. Second, you mentioned you have severally taught of escaping your wife and kids - ghosting them for extender period of time. Now you suggest that describes a vacation.

2. Having a cool place to think or taking a vacation is one thing. Abandoning people even for a period is another thing entirely. What you describe is in no way unique to you but the best you can do is seek help for it.

With first-hand experience,, I can tell you this..“Sometimes, I feel like leaving my family and work, and go for a full one-month retreat where I will stay all alone by myself.
Just alone., without any HUMAN Visitors (no matter who that person might be),, I would just be left all alone with my thoughts.. and my only nearest companions would be the trees and the birds, and animal sounds and noises..
And my phones would be put off..
I may only read newspapers and listen to news on radio in order to get updated, that is, if there might even be need for such”.
The reason I think of such things at times, even though I have a family, is because, sometimes I get totally fed-up with everything. My wife would be there thinking that having a Family SHOULD mean everything to me, and be More Than Enough for me to be always happy in this world..
Only if she would ever know that at times,, I prefer to stay with the wild trees and birds, than to stay with her and the kids So, you don't know what the man might be going through in the family. We need to hear both sides of the story.

I get what you are telling me but it's just that I have seen it all play out enough to know that there is likely some issue at the core of such statements that need serious taking of and never a bad idea to suggest help everytime. I can tell you that getting mental health therapy for your stress is a good thing you can do for yourself at least in this.

Please do consider getting help for that weight abeg. I can tell you from first hand experience that it shouldn't be ignored.
