There are beautiful places in SW but telling me that brown roofs is something to be proud of is what I disagree. Onitsha, Awka even Enugu have been existing before most of the towns in SouthWest but you can hardly see old roof dilapidated structures there. I'm not boasting but Igboland have greatly changed from 2020 to 2023. You guys can still change ur stories.

I don't know why you like lying there are no clusters of brown roofs in the SE. The same SE I lived for almost a decade?

What has changed? Stop lying mr man. Not much as changed. It is the same everywhere save some few places.

I hope you People ger enough money to build good houses. Look at the poverty surrounding this flyover 😂

The road is the only beautiful thing in the picture of osogbo. People living in this kind of places won't even have that mental capacity to elect good leaders. Poverty is a tool

Oshogbo is very developed in terms of road infrastructures. The problem is you haven't been there.

I don't know why most south west towns always looks like ancient 16 century forgotten kingdoms.

Why is this so? Just curious genuinely cheesy

The same reason most European cities still maintain the 16th century structures and still looks old with modern touches.

I wonder what your war torn eastern cities hood will point to as an old structure. Most of you just decided to be blinded intelligent wise and act like an illiterate at any slight opportunity to type your namby-Pamby mind. Learn to appreciate those details of our culture and zip it.

The foreign land you Dey compare with did they tell you their government build houses for then centuries ago?

European cities keep their heritage by renovating, repainting and changing roofs. Southwest own na lack of finance to renovate and maintain

Oshogbo is not developed joor. It is one of the worst states in Nigeria. Is it not the same place that Aregbeahola was the governor? Maybe there is another Osun state.
Osun is a ritualist den just like Ogun.

Don't mistake extreme poverty for heritage and culture. No! Poverty is the reason those buildings are like that, if not they would have been stripped of those brown roofs, repainted and maintained.

The problem is that poverty has beclouded our sense of reasoning that we now mistake it for culture.

The Egyptians for example are demolishing structures that are 100x times better than the mess that you tag culture to give way for new and modern structures.

Don't even compare old structures that are well maintained overseas to these eyesore.

Have you ever been to Barcelona, how old do you thing those structures are and you are here blabbling

I blame the wicked rulers you support for making you believe that poverty is culture.

I know those places. Beautiful and peaceful town. They have old houses so as the new ones, ilesha is the biggest town in osun state and osun state is the lowest with unemployment rate in Nigeria.

Pictures from zenababs ilesha, and coca cola street ilesha.. Ilesha is big and those are some of the places i am familiar with.

There are many other tourist places like ijesha water fall, micon golf which is arguably the most beautiful golf place in Nigeria

What OP posted are the ancient streets which is something to be proud of.

200k house in ilesha will be of the same standard as 1m house in Lagos, i am sure of this.

Although its the biggest and arguably most developed in the state, their population is somehow low compared to other towns like ife, ede etc

There is no high demand of house there like other cities like ife or osogbo because there is no major tertiary institutions there unlike osogbo and ife which has many. So the place is a silent somehow with no much people moving around.

Tarred roads in between their streets leading to nowhere.
