That is the myopic thinking of Atiku supporters. Had Obi not contested, Tinubu will still defeat Atiku.

He defeated Atiku in hausa/ fulani dominated NW through the support of APC Governors. He would have use the same pattern to defeat Atiku/ Okowa in SE had Obi not contested.

Umahi and Uzodinma will easily deliver their states to Tinubu without Obi on ballot. Enugu and Abia will also be narrowly won by Tinubu through the support of their Governors who are members of G5.

Without Obi, Tinubu will also easily win Rivers and Cross Rivers in SS.

That is 6 out of the 11 SE/ SS states. Then Tinubu would have gotten more than a million votes in Lagos had Obi not contested.

So how would Atiku defeat Tinubu had Obi not contested. Atiku committed political suicide by selecting a V.P candidate that has no political value.
