@ Genius, how far bro. I bought my first redmi note 5 from you in UniABj a long time ago, I have used a Redmi Note 8 and presently I am using a Note 10 Pro for more than 2 yrs now. I wanted to upgrade to Redmi 12 Pro 5G recently but just saw a redmi note 13 Pro review and I think I should go for it. What's your take on that? And is the Note 13 Pro available in Nigeria now?

Looks like a common Power IC issue but what do I know. Did you ask Igemburg?

I know people who bought the same Redmi Note 9 immediately it came out and they have been using it without any single issue.

Also shouting on a post won't bring your phone back to life.

RN 10 pro and 12 pro 4G are basically the same phone with the only difference being faster charging on the 12 pro, infact note 10 pro is on Android 13 while the newly released 12 pro is still on A11.
If you decide to go for 10 pro I have the 8/256 available

Some of una no dey understand contextual information before rushing to a conclusion. You can clearly see that Genius43 was comparing Redmi 10 to Redmi Note 12. In this case, the RN12 is better and the R10 is worse off.

If your mind no carry you buy Redmi, then no buy so that you no go wail later.

i will say that 3years is not too long if quality is seriously considered.

I upgraded my RN8 from Android 9 to 11 3days ago. now my phone is taking forever to charge. it also discharge quicker but SLIGHTLY RELATIVELY faster which is acceptable.
not a fan of MIUI as I have been using Smart launcher since the 1st month I bought it in 2020.

Now, I need to fix it, whole searching for Poco F3 which is on my mind or good Snapdragon with 5G.

And I've been using my Redmi Note 9 Pro since 2020 and it's still running. It's not just running alone. It's shooting YouTube videos and editing, it's blogging and doing HTML, it's managing multiple social media pages, playing PUBG, eFootball, CoDM, Fortnite etc. It's running PS1 and PS2 emulators, streaming and casting to a flat screen from as far as 10M away.

If we're to go further back, Redmi Go that I bought for a family member in 2019 is still running okay. Nothing has been replaced.

Some people no sabi use phones. Before the issue serious, we advised this brother to go change e battery. If he had been active on this channel, he'll know what we've been saying about RAYA and their repair tactics. Worst still if na IC, make e contact Igemburg.

I bought my phone the same time that he did. Mine's on Android 12 now all the way up from 10 and still firing on all fronts.

Fair enough, Xiaomi is still trying.
my phone is was ok until the upgrade 3days ago.
it is fair to say that complacency is coming in, considering they have a very large market share in phone industry, competing with Samsung hotly. this may have given rise to much complaints by customers on recent devices( midrange 2021 gadgets up).

There are things some peeps don't know about mobile phone maintenance. People abuse their phone and if it develops any fault, they will claim the product is not good.
1. Overcharging is not good, although most smart phones this days automatically stops charging when full, but don't forget we still don't have stable supply from grid in Nigeria, and since your phone is still connected to the power supply, current is being transferred or transmitted, so any wrong current can affect an IC on the motherboard. Although follow come Xiaomi chargers of recent phones are designed to accommodate effect of overcharging or wrong current but don't depend on this

2. Lot of people are careless to the extent that phone fall from their hand regularly, phone hitting hard surface is not good for the health of the motherboard.
IC are glued to motherboard with heat and lead, lead is very soft, it's like a liquid metal, so hitting hard surface regularly can make an IC to shift, some IC have up to 30 legs/pin, if one is shifted, issues will start occuring.

3. Lastly, be always conscious of overheating, overworking and overloading the phone.
You bought a mid- range device and you put like 3 heavy games. E.g, some brought a Redmi 8 with network IC issue, I tried all I could didn't work. So when I opened and checked his phone, he has less than 2 mb of storage left, installed PUBG and COD . The phone was very slow, so it was formatted and was still slow, which means the motherboard is very weak and won't allow repair.
So I will advice that if your ram is not up to 8/12/16gb
Always close tabs you don't use. Even if your ram is high, if you need play game, close unused tabs, some people don't restart their phone at all, at least once in a week, try to restart your phone so that it can refresh.

MY ADVICE FOR HOW TO MAKE YOUR PHONE LAST LONG.

Last paragraph. You see that last paragraph ehn, millions of Nigerians who buy entry level phones are guilty of it.

Xiaomi knows, that's why MIUI is programmed to close tabs in the background but they'll complain. How can only one person go dey leave 10 tabs open? How?

It consumes CPU bandwidth and RAM resources, which leads to increased battery consumption and heating as these apps run in the background using up Network as well. But do they know this? Do they even want to know? Laye! Them still dey do Samsung vs iPhone argument. Na there phone knowledge take end.
