Not like my iPhone is the latest one oh but I own an iPhone x. I bought a Sammy s21 ultra and I instantly forgot I have an iPhone too. On may 7th it would be exactly one year since I last stepped out of my compound with the iPhone X. It's just there in the drawer.

Used an IPhone 6 plus a couple of years back and that's the only IPhone I have ever used. Used it for 8 days and that was it. Samsung all the way. Androids are so crazy, you could think of the most ridiculous things and find out that there is an app for it.
Before you tell us why you switched phones. Tell us your previous phone.

Ecosystem.

The apple ecosystem is amazing. Particularly if you use the watch, Mac and iPhone together.

The seamless manner in which files can move around the ecosystem, how one device can find the other and more is a plus for using an iPhone.

2. Camera
Forget all these people that are saying android upandan. If you’re maximizing your iPhone camera, you’re enjoying your life. iPhones shoot 4K at 30/60 fps depending on what phone you use. If you use a 13 pro, you can shoot that 4K in cinematic mode with extra stability and easy colour grading.

3. Prestige

Honestly, I’m a freelancer. I understand people’s perceptions. I imagine billing someone and not looking the part.

If I charge you 700k and I’m pressing iPhone 14, you would more likely take me more seriously.

I like my Samsung, cuz I can go all day handling it and return back with 15% for a charge. Not sure of an iPhone. I'm not a fan of carrying powerbanks up and down.

1. No hanging. Its RAM optimization has made it impossible for lagging to occur.

2. Durability. iPhones are generally long lasting. Android cameras go blurry and bad over time.

3. iPhones are generally fast phones! Imagine the speed of the Face ID

I think iPhones stand the test of time.

I use high end latest phones. I can't spend over a million on a phone for now. So I'm with Tecno and very satisfied.

If you're previously using any midrange Android (especially TECNO, INFINIX,) before you change to IPhone, You'd feel as if there is no other phone better than an Iphone. Same feeling you would have when you change from such Android ( Tecno, Infinix e.t.c.) to a flagship Samsung ( S series and Notes ) e go be like say you never use smart phone before grin

I was using Samsung not until when I got introduced to IPhone by my friend, who is an IPhone user. Truth be told, both phones are almost different in performing tasks, IPhone seems sleeker. But when the IPhone storage became almost full, it started misbehaving. Apart from that, Anytime I'm using my IPhone, I always feel like I'm in a bondage because there are some things I do with my samsung (online & offline) but I can't do such with my IPhone. Last last, I sold it for better Samsung. Then, I felt like someone who has just been released from prison grin
Exactly. You said it all. I hate the feeling of being in bondage when I use iPhone. Crazy shit angry

I love its processor and RAM; it never lags. However, I didn't totally switch.

I still use my lovely Android alongside. iPhone is rigid in use.. Android is flexible.

The problem is that many people used itel and tecno bought by their parents for them as undergraduates.

Then struggled, starved and saved to buy one run down "UK used" iPhone after several years due to peer pressure and herds mentality and start comparing iPhone to Android.

I was lucky enough to start my Android journey with Sony experia, LG, HTC and Samsung and I'm still on Android till today.

Switch to iPhone and never look back? That's not even possible.
If you use your phone often for productivity then the iPhone is not for you.

Android is more productivity oriented. I own both the 13 pro and the Samsung S20 and the later is my go to phone. I no even put sim card for the iPhone and sometimes I consider selling it (Now imagine the more recent Samsung like S23 or the Ultra).

The S20 is snappier, and the 120hz on the Samsung feels way smoother. The one on the iPhone feels kind of like 90hz and the app animations? Damn that shit is slow. With the Samsung you can customize your app animations to make them faster.

Battery life on the iPhone is better, however battery is not a thing for me as I have constant electricity. The iPhone has a better resale value and it's more sturdy compared to the android counterpart but that's the only advantage it has ahead of the S20.

To summarize, you are more likely to get a second phone (Android) if the iPhone is your primary device because you NEED it, however if a high end android is your primary device, trust me you don't have any need for an iPhone.


Right. I can’t do without an Android phone. I still use my old Samsung S8 plus despite having the 12 pro. Both are really important to me.

A girlfriend's Dad gave me an Iphone that year-- used it for one day and dumped it.

I have been using my Note for more than 3 years now and have not had any issues.

Battery is not like before, but heck, it still does the job.

When it finally dies, I will buy the latest Note in the market...

That new Samsung Fold looks very neat.

I think the Android term is ambiguous
Tecno runs on Android, but so are Samsung and Huawei.

In fact, Android is not a phone, rather an operating system just like ios.
So it's better to be more specific, by stating the names of your ios phone and Android phone
E.g iPhone X and Google pixel 5

My S20+ then was as fast as anything and capable of shooting 8k videos.
