I agree. As dark as it was, the kid’s death was an opportunity for her to detach. Maybe?

Honestly I can’t speak on that type of grief because it’s hard to know how it can affect one.

I also heard her family as igbo culture does won’t let the kid be taken to the father’s house for burial without proper marriage ceremony. Maybe she felt she had to marry him so she wouldn’t be the person that stops her child from “resting in peace”.
