Valid points.
Spotting a propaganda campaign isn’t as hard as it seems. The whole idea is to corrupt the truth.

I’ll give you some instances and you be the judge.
We’ve been dealing with the US for decades now.
We have the a huge energy issue.
We have a huge infrastructure issue (roads, railways, airports- MMA in Lagos; the busiest, the gateway to Nigeria is an eyesore).

What did the US do about it? What help did they give?
All they do is threaten us with sanctions (John Kerry threatened GEJ with sanctions because of a bill to legalise homosexualism). Trump paused the delivery of the much needed Tucanos to fight terrorists as sanctioning measures even after we’ve paid in full.

Looking at what the Chinese has done for us in less than a decade- over our nascent relationship with them.
Railways and rail stations , highways, Airport terminals, Port and bridges.
They not only provide the loans (interest cheaper than what’s obtainable in the world bank and IMF) they are also building the infrastructure.

Now, you’d agree with me that I didn’t get these information from the Chinese media: these are facts! We can all see it.

That’s not propaganda.
Who did it for China in 1989? Why are you always looking for someone to do it for you? You have bad leadership and if only those leaders focused on developing the country by now we would have been in same position with China helping other African countries.

How long will it take a government to set up Solar Panels for this purpose (if that's their proposed major source), that's if it is not already in place. That's Lagos State, I am sure they already have it figured out.

The shared the news of the busses because they're available. They didnt share the news of how they'll be powered because they're not available. Nigerian governments don't think that far nor have that kind of foresight.

How long will it take to setup MW capacity plants? Depends, but from planning to completion with the nigerian factor added should take the better part of 1 - 2 years. What would be the power source till then?

National grid and the Lagos State IPP. Using both until the solar systems are in place in about "2 years" according to you won't derail the clean energy vision 2065 project. But I can assure you, they have it figured out

That’s a different conversation entirely.
Stay in one place- stop derailing the topic.

The conversation was about which is more fruitful?
Our relationship with the US or with the Chinese.
And I have given reasons why I believe the Chinese have done better, over a short period of time, relative to our old friends- the US.

They need to build solar power plant to charge those buses.
NEPA is not reliable and using Generator to charge will be expensive

At the very end of Marina (almost opposite the Governor's resident), there is a Lagos State owned IPP that has been there since Fashola was Governor that powers all the street lights, general hospital and other Lagos state facilities in that axis. I also understand there is another IPP that powers the Lagos State Secretariat, and the Senior State Quarters opposite MKO Gardens. I'm fairly certain they would find a way to make it work.

Lol. My brother. This thing is not magic. You have no business with electric buses if your grid is not providing 3x the actual demand of power supply the general population needs.

It is not everyone that is myopic, and like I mentioned earlier, it is Lagos, not just another Nigerian State.

Satisfied now?!

Yoruba leads

To the bitter bad belle people that have toxic questions

*How will it run without electricity?!

- Lagos bus, Lagos Rail, LASG Secetariat and Lagos Hospitals would all run on Independent Power Plant built by Tinubu off grid

*Will it run out of power?!

-No a BRT bus runs 200km daily, a fully charged electric Buss has a full capacity of 280km per 100% full charge

*Can we maintain the Busses

-Tinubu built BRT lane but Diesel metrol busses and since 2 decades it had grown remarkable to an Electric model.. EV busses have few parts that requires maintaining unlike Diesel busses.. I runs on Fast Charger Electric rotor,

.

Lagos is just another nigerian state. It didn't fall out of the sky.

The attached picture talks of a plan without a timeline, that's simply a dream. They could implement in a year, or in ten, or never.

How's oando clean energy providing the power? timeline?

Again, if you need to be pinching, squeezing and generation plants for just busses in a country that cannot provide a fraction of the population's electricity demand, you have your priorities skewed.

So, no. Not satisfied sir.

Lagos is helping igbos. lastly, Lagos is yorubaland. infact the Edo people can still lay claim to Lagos but igbos, never!
