Sanusi the former Emir lol wants to start projecting himself to the public after hearing that the emirate issues in Kano State will be reviewed. An the best way is by making controversial statement in order to draw attention to himself. cheesy

Stockholm syndrome is a bad thing o.
See slaves rushing to comment "Osinbajo is weak", "Tinubu is a master strategist", "This is politics" etc etc. The same people that have been robbed blind are staunchly defending their oppressors.
So sad

His party did not choose him, and he did not do the spadework at all to get enough support.

Once Tinubu got several strategic governors in his pocket, the deal was sealed.

Yeah, a dream race would have been Osibanjo for APC vs Obi for PDP. But the sad thing is, wishes can't be horses. Also, upper class and middle class technocrats always lose out when it is time to play politics in Nigeria. SLS is also another good example.

It's Buhari fault.

There is no way Osinbajo can't come up with a plan to win the primaries if he chose Osinbajo. Buahri just takes advice from dullard he surrounded himself with.

He was VP and economic coordinator for almost 8 years. Here we are. Is distributing money in the market to market women and call it trader money the best he could come up with as a prof?

Nigeria under Osinbajo would be worst. He’s not more intelligent than Fayemi and did Fayemi turn Ekiti to eldorado?

Nigeria needs someone like Wike not Osinbajo. Sanusi is liable to his Opinion.

Even Osibanjo said Tinubu is better than him. Infact he prayed for Tinubu's success long before.

Tinubu is actually better than Osibanjo... So Nigerians gained massively because he never made it to become president.

What did he achieve as VP for 8yrs?
As a Pastor pls point me directly to any statement he made as demons have consistently murdered Christians in the Middle belt especially Southern Kaduna?

During Endsars, where was he when young Nigerians were jailed and even killed because the protested against wicked men in Uniforms?

What has Osibanjo actually done for his people in Ogun State? What are his signature projects? Tradermoni that was used to buy votes in 2015, how far? what can 5k buy in today Nigeria?
I repeat Tinubu is by far better than Osinbajo yet he is the worst thing about to happen to Nigerians
You do you people reason like this? How can Tinubu be better? These political jobbers sef

If Tinubu got 8m in a general election, Osinbajo will get more than 10M in that same election. Just say you stand to benefit if it's Tinubu than Osinbajo.

Nah, he was Vp to Buhari and couldn't play the political aspect of influencing things positively.
In leadership, moral uprightness isint half enough, political compromise matters alot otherwise you'll end up being a good man with good intention while having a bad era. In the end the people suffer.
Political charisma is a very essential and underrated tool in leadership.
How to get people in order is very much needed.

You are very right but it's quite unfortunate that he needed to contend with a Tinubu at the primaries.

Tinubu was just too strong for him, in all ramifications.

Osinbajo would have portrayed all those characters you requested of him, had it been he got the seat on a platter of gold, he posseses them but he was restrained....he chose to be conservative instead of getting desperate, that's just the truth

RepoMan007:
The reality is democracy has been hijacked with the help of monetized politics before the people get a chance at general polls.
This is what so many Nigerians fail to understand about why they get the quality of leadership they do. Nigerian politics has a systemic problem with how it is funded, a problem which has made corruption an unavoidable part of the formula for succeeding in the system right since the 1940s. This is why anyone hoping for a supposedly clean "messiah" to appear and save Nigerians from themselves is living in a pipe dream. It is simply impossible to get anywhere in Nigerian politics without engaging in substantial corruption.

The root of the problem is that Nigerian political parties aren't really funded by their memberships. In most other parts of the world, parties are funded primarily through the donations of individual party members, usually with strict limits on how much each member can contribute to any given contest. In Nigeria most party "members" are essentially alms seekers, hoping to land either a public sector "job", a padded contract or some other such benefit by helping some bigger fish to land a "juicy" post where he/she can then dole out favors to reward supporters - the idea of impoverished party members using their limited private funds to pay for campaigns is simply a non-starter. As such, political campaigns have to be funded in a different way, namely by either making promises to wealthy donors, or outright stealing the necessary funds directly from the public purse.

It's because of all the above that I laugh at anyone who sees Peter Obi, or anyone else who has been successful in Nigerian politics at the level of a governor or senator, as being a "clean" voice for "change" who will "sweep away" the entrenched corruption that has been part of Nigerian life at every level since the British started allowing "the natives" into the Nigerian civil service. Without strict, well-enforced limits on who can fund a party and with how much, Nigerian politics will never change, but all of Nigeria's political parties would immediately collapse if such limits were ever miraculously imposed.

I need you Nigerians to stop repeating this unintelligent nonsense.

Where strongman Buhari don carry una go? Strongman that could not defeat Boko Haram, Bandits or the corruption in his cabinet.

When Nigerians talk about a strong leader, what they mean is someone who is able to oppress citizens, gag the press, silence opposition, rig election, steal enough money etc.
If you're like Jonathan who can accept insult from the citizens, then you're weak.

I've never seen a more stupid set of people than those who continue this bullshit of we need strong leaders, we need military leaders with iron hands

If Osinbajo emerged as APC presidential flagbearer it would've been a keen contest between him and Obi and electoral fraud and violence that took place during the presidential election would've been at the bearest minimum because the both are not power desperados like the Drug lord.

We have seen the hypocrisy of the Yorubas during the last presidential election. Never are we ever going to vote for any Yoruba man. Osinbajo may be a good man. but the tribalistic nature of hi tribe's man. we can never vote for him. we will rather vote Escobar as president and Osama as vice. Rubbish.
