@Ogagun6934 Note: There is no submission of applications for the business and tourist visas. The Embassy has resumed issuance of student visas to the Russian Federation. https://nigeria.mid.ru/web/en-nigeria/contacts-and-consular-fees |

YoungLionken:They don’t require to show POF, just tell them you have a certain amount to cover your study and also maybe biz in Nigeria that will still be bringing in money for you. And if you’re still very young you can say either of your parents will sponsor you. Sometimes they’ll require you to come with your sponsor for the interview |

I got admitted in a university in petersburg... I am yet to sign the contract and pay the part tuition before proceeding for visa application. The negative comments about Russia here has been so discouraging that I had to pause the whole process. Considering that I will be paying the school fees and every other bills, is Russia a good place to study and work while paying the remaining tuition balance? Can student job sustain and pay my fees? I wouldnt want to get stranded over there. Also aftermath my studies, what are the chances of settling and surviving there? |
| Re: Nigerian In Russia-my Experience So Far by roqrules04(m): 10:44am On May 03, 2023 |
Portlouis:How much is your tuition ? And is it language you applied for or degree ? You can work and study BUT the amount of your tuition will determine if it’s possible to be able to pay it with your part time job |
| Re: Nigerian In Russia-my Experience So Far by Nobody: 10:50am On May 03, 2023 |
roqrules04:Tuition is 272,000 Rubbles per year... To be paying 136,000 Rubbles every semester. It is an English taught Masters program in Computer Science. What do you think with the fee, is it feasible with part time job? |

roqrules04:Thank you very much... |
| Re: Nigerian In Russia-my Experience So Far by roqrules04(m): 4:09pm On May 03, 2023 |
Portlouis:1. Your main priority is study so you won’t be able to work much . 2. The tuition is high cos it’s English taught . 3. I have to be honest with you, you can’t pay that amount every semester working for just few days as you have to go to classes . You can pay that fee if you’re working daily in STP though 4. If you have your full tuition already before coming then of course it’ll be very soft . |

roqrules04:Thank you for the advice. Very helpful. What do you know about life after school in Russia? Will i be sent back home after studies or their will be work permit to remain and work in Russia? |
| Re: Nigerian In Russia-my Experience So Far by roqrules04(m): 10:43pm On May 03, 2023 |
Portlouis:Russian govt just implemented a law this year that full time students can now get РВПО (Temporary residence permit) for the duration of their study plus 180 days . Whereby during this 180 days you can apply for Permanent residence |

Pls, how much does the Russian student visa cost in Abuja? |
| Re: Nigerian In Russia-my Experience So Far by Cypherhendrix(m): 4:36am On May 05, 2023 |
idrisalau:Russian visa for the express visa is over 70k and mind you basic is around 35-40k, you have to go to the embassy with new currency (cash) unlike before when you have to pay in the bank and your results legalization is 17,400 per document (per pages) |
| Re: Nigerian In Russia-my Experience So Far by Cypherhendrix(m): 4:37am On May 05, 2023 |
roqrules04:It is a new rule, before students renew their visa every year but now the temporary residency covers up for your student year and 180 days after schooling, it is only available for full time student |
