Even Shock and Awe tactic wasn’t invented by Americans - Americans stole it from the Nazis. And Nazi Germany inherited it from Prussia Empire, as descendants of Prussia.

No, Russia’s only saving grace isn’t just nuclear weapons. They haven’t used 90% of their capabilities in Ukraine since Putin is yet to officially declare war. There are so many way they can retaliate and wreck things without nuclear weapons. And I already cited one with undersea cable. Even inside Ukraine - there are still tons of things they can hit that will make NATO shake. And if things go nuclear - there would be no winners. So, it’s not just Russia that would be history.

War isn’t just military - there are other aspects of it like economics, propaganda, politics, geopolitics, et al. And currently, Russia is winning everything - apart from the propaganda war. So, I understand why Putin has been very conservative thus far albeit a part of me want to see more force.

I had an insightful convo about the war and Putin’s strategy with a couple of British and US army veteran officers last year on another platform. And they provided some insightful perspective that’s deeper than what the average person can grasp. Perhaps one day when I have time on a thread about the war, I’ll shed more light on a lot of things.
