Lol... No need for details...

Owner's money is 650k
Mechanic money is 50k
Dealers money is 50k
Other miscellaneous 50k
A total of 800k.
Does the client have to know what is happening?
Answer me... The mechanic guys are all illiterate who barely understand English but Yoruba alone... We all sorted the whole thing out... But this mumu boy went ahead to tell them I collected 850k.
Mechanic sold to me at 750k last... That was the agreed price btw they and myself. 650k to owner 100k to them and the dealer that brought the car to them.

So tell me what crime I did selling with administrative charges abi na 50k I go take settle admin? Lol... You too you know how d business go and you are into it some times... If I'd wanted to reap him of I would have... because I know how much he has at hand.

Was the car a bad car? No!

He damaged the car simple!

Shey he has refused to share photos of the car when hen first bought it but he has forgotten he stayed earlier he has all our chat history... Ask him to provide pictures of the car lets see.

The only issue the car had when he bought it was that the gear was not selecting beyond gear 2 or 3 and then the ac was not chilling but there was gas inside because the owner recently changed everything about the ac.

The suspension was okay, even the charging akter I thought was bad was okay.

The only thing he bought was brain box...

Even after he took the car to my electrician he and I still talked for more than a month.

We sorted things out already ooh
We even laughed about everything and he begged me to have patient with him when he starts work he will balance me my 20k.

But all of a sudden l, I don't know what entered him he said he never intended to balance up.

We still talked after everything, he was the one that told me it was just brain box that was changed! FADASI1 true or false? You guys first changed the front SAM but out of experience the man asked him to return it and get brain box and that was how the whole problem was resolve. Gear selected smoothly. He didn't tell me about the ac because I blocked him afterwards. Fasasi1 I'm I also lying Talk ooh grin grin grin

Show screen shot I challenge you. 1diot.
Ungrateful and greedy person that what you're.

I think u got him a good car, being naija used, it will definitely have one or two issues. His mechanic also certified the car okay.
He has also refused to post the pics of the car when it was bought, strongly affirming the fact that the car must have looked good as at the time of purchase.

However like I said earlier, in this type of deal where u r helping someone from this thread or someone u have some form of relationship with, someone u will still have contact with after the transaction, to buy a car. U should do full disclosure. This amount is for me, so so so amount goes to seller, so so amount goes to mechanic keeping the car or dealer. That's what I do. If u r selling a car to an outsider, strictly business that's a different thing. If u told him all this, he will not feel cheated or betrayed. So pls u guys should settle and move on.

Fasasi, ur only issue should be that he didn't tell u d breakdown of the money. And from ur gist after u told mechanic d amount u agreed with Felicity, he ended up paying those guys, this u confirmed. He even made a post about it so it's obvious he didnt chop 200k ontop this deal alone. Other people shared from it too.
The issue of mechanic telling u he wants a cut of repairs is neither here nor there. It cannot be substantiated.
Now, this isn't something u bring up in public to try to tarnish someone's image. It's a matter of understanding and maturity, which if u expressed ur disatisfaction and disappoinment to Felicity privately, u guys would have come to a compromise and settled without this public washing.

All such deals are brokered with full disclosure on all sides, everyone knows who is getting what, and how much. The Nigerian style where you start fencing one party from the other so they don't know how much you're making, is just a recipe for trouble.

There's such a thing as 'ethical behaviour' in business but very few Nigerians understand the concept much less practice it.

U r right but not completely right.
Many times companies reaward their contracts to another company at a different price without telling them how much they got the contract for. Or if u are to do supply job to a company or govt agency, will u tell them how much u bought the goods from the market? No, u give them your price, they pay and u go and purchase, deliver and keep the profits.

Regarding the issues, he literally told me the only gain from the sale was the settlement fee, he said the 800k was going to the owner.

Why does he have to lie ?? What does he stand to gain ?? Even the guy that told Felix about it wanted to sell it fro 750k and he didn't attach settlement fee. I got to know after I have paid.

Uncle Pearl when does the pic of a car indicate the value of the car? How do you expect a novice that is yet to even understand a smokey engine, the position of rpm know a mech that's worth it. At a point of buying a car or gadget like laptop for a first timer, folks follow intuition of people they can trust. Most of us today have changed our mechanic at some point, especially the once we started out with. Them no know work grin

Truth be told, there's no talk in this matter. At this point I could careless where this divide falls. Good will is long gone here and I don't know if you are a Yoruba person. There's a saying that we can't be walk mate and at the same time not be able to say the truth to ourselves. Now you are talking about 200k, maybe you should also explain what lead to the throwing of punch if trust wasn't breach at some point. Pearl o smart ju gbogbo pet yin lo

When you are helping someone, the least you should expect is appreciation. The moment you are tendering a demand, then it is business, not help. Make una pity our sense of reasoning, I plead.

You guys are really sounding half smart with this commission of a thing. Pardon my use of words on this. I'll let some things fly only if I want too. If I am selling a car to you and I know the problem of the car. For God sake it is my number you will have, it is my picture that will be on the affidavits and if anything happen it is my name on the plate number police will trace. I can not allow one agent to put me thro undue stress. Hardly any naija used car the buyer won't call the seller to ask stupid questions. So if I allow someone to use me as an instrument to sell a car worth 1m for 1.5m with the mindset of its not my business. When kasala burst, hope I won't be force to vomit what I didn't eat.

NB : agent is meant to close the gap between buyer and seller and not to take money on behalf of buyer outside his own share. Abi nah agent una they pay house rent give if una won go rent house or buy land?

I grow as crook, before you go fit run me street, your format go strong. If you as agent go over greedy on my stuff, you won't even understand how me and the buyer end the matter for your back. If you like know after sales, you sha cant ask me not to sell my thing to who I desire.

The whole fault is from Fasasi Mechanic!

If your mechanic says the car is good to go for 800k. I see no reason why you going back to be looking for the seller to tell them you're buying for 800k.

When Felicity told you he's charging a fee of 50k. Then it's already business, in business you trust your agent not the Landlord.

My take is... If you'd bought that car for 650k.. I ask again, WILL THERE HAD BEEN ANY PROBLEM WITH WHO'S A LIAR? Because I am still trying to understand how you were lied to here when YOUR MECHANIC checked the car and pass it Okay for purchase.

I was to sell an RX 350 (2010) just 4 days ago, the buyer sent his mechanic down without coming himself. He said once his mechanic says car is Okay, he will forward money to us. Mechanic came and saw and pointed out what he's not fair with on the car and I told him it's fixable but no problem the price (70%) for changing those parts will be deducted. Mechanic now said Bros wetin you go give me make I for certify this car good to go?

There and then from experience I know this deal will break my neck. So you see... The problem here is YOUR MECHANIC. You trusted his judgement, as a seller, you'd do anything to sell your item especially to the highest bidder.

What I am not sure of is...

Is it the 50k agent fee?
The 150k top up?
The car is bad?
Or car is not good for 800k?

What is really the problem here?

Bros nah OG matter be this. A picture is just like being attracted to a lady. Nah when you enter come off, you go know if she worth the stress. A picure can not tell you the performance of the engine, transmission, electrical issue, ac issue, suspensions and more. You said "Maybe"? You weren't sure... so for your business partners, if there's a maybe, the next thing is to go physical to the point of seeking for weapon to use against each other?

NB : The car has been with the mech and probably they knew the condition of the car. If the car was good as you said he bought a good car, they won't have been need to budget 250k to fix car.

Even if na person mama, anyone who leaves their own daily hustle to assist someone else with a scheme of making money, expects/deserves to be adequately compensated in some manner. Anywhere in this world. The only exceptions are when someone is being assisted so that they can recover from a bereavement or an il!ness.

It's the same greedy naija mentality that makes someone expect another person to run around business-wise on their behalf, for free. That's why I will continue to say, we don't have a culture of being honest with each other in this part of the world. Every Nigerian grows up and starts looking for a mugu, we need to do better!

Ask him to share a screenshot of how I still chatted him up even after I was informed he cut me off taking the car to my rewire and mechanic. Let him provide screenshot shoot... He said he still have them.

Ask him to provide screenshot of when I told him to come with his mechanic for inspection.

He was quick to post a screenshot to proof a point that I talked bad about tojah.. unfortunately for him the screenshot vindicated me...

Fasasi1 you're lucky I lost my former phone.but I know you... You will never admit to a fault.

The only mistake I did was advising you against taking a loan to buy from Tojah... If I'd knew I would have advised you otherwise.

I still maintain, I never sold to you a lemon
You destroyed the car yourself
You sold a lemon to another man

Simple.

My brother I really understand everything, the truth is you were dealing with someone that have little or no idea about cars.
Dealers that reals on Naija cars will always tell you there's no how you will buy car and not fix something.
That even if you buy a toks, there will always be something to fix all na Lori roor.

I know a couple of Guys that have stopped dealing on Naija used cars because of the headache, you have your own faults though.
This Guy truly trusted you and felt that you will guide him, but to you business is business.

Which is bad, there's nothing wrong in returning Money back to the owner when a business refused to fly. We shouldn't legalise what is not legal....
And how many times have you been getting refunds?
Even you buy parts and it doesn't work you go back to ladipo do they refund?
Some will start telling you how is have been used and how your mechanic spoilt something inside that it will be difficult for them to resell it.
The ones that wants to help will start telling you how that particular model is the most expensive and tell you to add something before they will change it.
People that even do it to soldiers in uniform, at least you read the news the other time.

If they car was good as you said he bought a good car, they won't have been need to budget 250k to fix car.

No, what I mean is that Felicity too may not have known the full extent of the damage in d car if it actually looked good physically. So we can't completely blame him for marketing and selling a bad car. It's possible he also was deceived, plus the fact that Fasasi's mechanic came along, then we can't completely crucify Felicity for the discoveries afterwards.
As for the fight, let's leave that completely cos d mechanic is not here, we don't know what caused d fight and since both parties have said mechanic eventually collected 50k then it's proof the money ontop was shared by other parties involved in the deal.

Come to think of it, did Fasasi's mechanic who is his relative not collect anything for that service? I am sure he did, so why will strangers also not collect their share?

As for ur NB; I always advise anyone buying a naija used car to keep extra 200k for seen and unforeseen repairs afterwards. So even though u think u have bought a good car, u must still do one or two to ur taste.

The issues I have with you lot is that, many people consider this place an online family, especially from known moniker but most monikers that post on the group are mainly for business which many newbie are not aware of , many will seek you people for advice and guidance and you won't explain to them that you are not doing a charity work but business after all and all you will be asking for money for agent and this.....

… , that is where pearl1910 made a mistake because he didn't tell me thinking I'm aware even meself was pitying him as he was driving me around to look for a car from surulere to abule egba to akute before we finally a settle for one

The mechanic I brought said it's a good car, even he was saying the money is too much and Felix should reduce the money but I told him I trusted Felix judgement and because he was running mouth and telling me I can't spend more than 100k to fix, I decided to choose Felix over the mechanic. Even the person was saying Felix should give us some days we want to verify the documents and call the real owner but he said he has done that already.

Inclusion, Felix mechanic said Felix know the condition of the car before he sold it out, now, when you know the car is a problematic car why did you decided to add outrageous amount on it ?? I ended up spending more than my budget.

If you guys call it business, what if morals ?? What of integrity ?? He lacks everything. Money go finish but your name na black book he go day.

After adding 150k, he still told me to pay settlement fee who does that Is that how business works ?? I was in to selling of mifi too and I did my business with honesty, if a mifi develops fault after the customer had bought it, I will be the one to sort it out even when this mifi is brand new o, tear pali but I don't care of that, I will choose relationship over business.

Even the 650k its not worth it, like I said my mechanic said the engine is good so the car is good but as a car dealer you know if take more than good engine for a car to be good.
