I have tried it before and got my PayPal account blocked. I am guessing you are using a Lesotho PayPal, linking a virtual USD account to it might cause issues.

I am not sure you can link Grey's virtual card to PayPal either. If you still want to go the PayPal route, please use Wallets Africa, their virtual dollar card works well with PayPal.

After suffering back and forth I got tired and sent Upwork an email complaining how hard they're making my life seem and I am tired, they verified the account today

Upwork as a feature called "Specialized Profiles," you can open one and add your other skill. If you create another account, both will be blocked.

I’m a level 2 seller on fiverr and I just cannot penetrate Upwork for some reasons that I don’t understand. My niche is video editing, 2D animations and motion graphics design.

My Upwork account was approved in late 2021 and I haven’t gotten any job since.
I’m not a novice in freelancing and understand that you need to build your account overtime; as I have done on fiverr.
I need a mentor or someone to guide me on what to do. Please help!

PS: I know one has to write a great proposal. I do that from several templates but still to no avail.

Wow. That's nice.( Inside this competition). I'm actually not new to Upwork, that's why its strange. As a matter of fact, 90% of the jobs have completed came through invites. I hardly send out proposal. In 2years, I've made a combined 100k on my two accts ( CANADA and USA with a writing profile). Maybe I should have asked if others also noticed a sharp decline in invites.

Why did payooneer block you?

You might need to sit and get that resolved asap. To me, payooneer works best for freelancers.
While doing that, get a dorm acct with access bank and link it to your payooneer.

Payoneer just can't block your account without a reason. Reach out to support and know why or tell us why.

You can still create a virtual USD account with Geegpay.

Do u have a valid ID.(Passport, driver's license) not sure if they still approve our NIN slip.

Now setup a fresh email, clear your browser cache and register afresh.

That's the hustle for you. I've used a naija acct for 6months, The experience was terrible. I use two phones. I started with a Canadian account, noticed I couldn't apply for USA offers. So I had to explore. That USA account is absolutely the best.

The only fear about foreign account is during re-verification season. The last wave of re-verification affected lots of folks. What I did was to change my location back to naija and worked with my partner till we were able to navigate that phase and verify as USA again. I don't subscribe to using VPN for foreign accts.

If you're using a foreign profile and you're asked to reverify your ID or location. First thing is to bring that acct to naija. Wait till you can find someone proven to handle your accts. Or else, it's gone.
