KingsCity:Based on your myopic logic, everyone serving a jail sentence today in Nigeria or any place in world on Attempted Murder, should be set free, ‘after all no body was killed’. You failed to realize that, had it been the organ harvest took place, he would have faced more serious charges and more severe sentence…also more people would have been charged lost their including Doctors and medical personnel’s in the UK hospital who stopped this. |

Ike's first mission after his release from the UK prison would be to build a world class hospital in his hometown. |

10years for prison sentence which is like being in school(9 months) will be 7.5 years spent for EK and 6 years will be 4.5 years at least, someone will come out earlier than the other to look after family.... Years later, they may still appeal if they conduct themselves well I pity the doctor serving his sentence(8 years) plus losing his license, though not doing due diligence cost the 3 a lot. Not everything is business. Just their record that will show ex convict but they can easily reintegrate back into Nigeria's system. Hoping the children for now will take charge of the home front.... Nigerian politicians I hope are learning so they do better for their society. |

That serves them right. Next time they should know how to build and equip hospitals in the country. I have come to like UK for jailing those people squandering our collective resources. |

It is quite embarrassing that a trio of Nigerians are the first to be sentenced under the UK’s Modern Slavery Act 2015. Honestly, with the way our image is being tarnished internationally, it would get to a point where no one would want to have anything to do with a Nigerian. Only today, I applied for a content writing job with a small Indian firm, and immediately they saw I was Nigerian, they began to be more particular about my identity than my skills. |

Antipob777:You still don’t get it.. The boy changed everything the moment he walked into police station that they wanna harvest his organ! A small boy walking to a UK police station, then mentioning organ harvesting. There’s no way police would not take it up! UK embassy, UK prime minister can’t even stop anything at this point! What I feel is something probably got the boy mad and he decided to changed it for them! I still don’t feel the boy is a victim. I think he only played a fast one on them! Maybe they’re trying to rip him or something! It’s hard to know what plays out for real! |

When you hear the saying anything can happen, yeah just brace up oooo. As long as we still live we are not absolutely free from challenges of life. Few years ago this people will never imagine they'll be sentenced to jail. May we not be unfortunate |

shortgun:This is justice served. What is bad is discussing your intention with the donor. The poor boy deserves to know that his kidney is to be harvested. This is arrongancy of big men. Also the doctor who was given money to give to the boy pocketed most of it leaving the poor boy to suffer in the UK. He would have died in the cold if not for UK Police |

Thank God, the case happened outside the country, if say, it was in Nigeria, these people with victim mentality will not allow us to hear words. |

You can appeal the judgement. I doubt if you understand the choice of your word "witch hunting". Before they were sentenced they were found guilty. Quite unfortunate this is happening especially the daughter still in dire need of donor however judgement do not appeal to emotions shortgun: |
| Re: Ike Ekweremadu & Wife Nwanneka Sentenced To 10 Years, 6 Years Each by aremubabs: 3:56pm On May 05, 2023 |
KingsCity:I have noticed that many of you don't understand the case the UK have against the Ekweremadus. Let me educate you. It is criminal to buy and/or sell organs. By offering the boy money, the law took it for granted that Ekweremadu wanted to buy the boy's organ. Organs are given freely, not bought. People who donate organs do so to help someone in need. When money becomes involved, then, you have an illegal organ harvesting market. |
| Re: Ike Ekweremadu & Wife Nwanneka Sentenced To 10 Years, 6 Years Each by alexis4real: 3:56pm On May 05, 2023 |
This is not justice but witch hunting. How can you sentence a man that wrote to your embassy about his intention to take someone to UK for the purpose of organ donation. The donor is not a minor. What nonsense law do they practice in the uk[/quote]You are a BIG CAPITAL FOOL |

This is absurd and abuse of immigration process. I pray for that boy, anyday he commits anything in UK , they will show him pepper. Ekweremadu deserve my little pity . Its a lesson for our politicians. I pity the daughter. I wonder how the girl will survive this without parental support. Honestly it's sad day. shortgun: |
