How on earth will u gamble the whole of your salary ? Even the bet companies always advise gamblers to bet wisely.. at most u bet with 5k or 10k and if it don’t work move on for another day. Why have 4K and bet with the whole 4K at most try with 500

Good afternoon nairalanders
I always felt i wasn't addicted to betting but mehn
these past few months ,I have been dealt with severely by betting companies
my entire salary for the month of April went straight into the coffers of 1xbet
my April salary came in May (2nd) AND I didnt hesitate to deposite the entire sum of (#78,000) because i was chasing my loss
I had lost #80,000 the previous month (march).

I picked about three games to win #170,000 ,Almost came through if not for man united

my fury knew no bounds ,it was just as if i woke up every day by 5am and return home 7pm just to hussle money for the bookies

I bet because i have lots of expectations to meet ,I am the first son of 5 , clocked 29 in april
my salary isnt enough and all the side hustles aint paying .(surveys and co)
upwork and fiverr arent easy for nigerians.
delving into fraud isnt part of the plan,i'd rather die poor

this afternoon ,the small 4k i was supposed to use and transport for the week ,sportybet collected it.
for a moment i had suicidal thoughts (not suicidal per say ) but i am tired of the world ...for months now ,death doesnt even scare me
i see it as an end to the suffering (we all are gonna die anyways).

if you know of any legit paying side hustles or something someone can do..
and how does one stop betting

i would like for the FG to ban betting ,it is a killer but youths wont know it
though some people are gaining from it ,but it is pffffff

Betting is for fun not as a source of income. If i play a bet with 100k its because i won't lose sleep over the money if lost.

And there is nothing like sure odd in betting, you're either lucky or not and you're salary isn't what you invest in luck

That thing is evil. It needs to be banned. I've lost over 6m myself. Even when I had abstained for months, I still fell into the trap again and lost close to 2m extra.

Now, things are a little tight for me and ironically, I am happy about it. Because when the going was good, I wasn't doing anything meaningful with the money but gamble.

Government must ban all these betting companies. Youths are losing their minds on a daily.

Is 70% to %30 commission ok.
Or I should tell him to be balancing me like 15k to 20k weekly
Giving him a fixed weekly target to meet up to is better. You should threaten to replace him if he go 3 weeks consecutively without meeting the target.

I don’t know your location, so I do not have the information to estimate what he his capable of making weekly. Your own guess would be much more accurate than mine. Think back at how much you were making weekly when you were managing it yourself and use that to decide how much he should be making and be very strict with it. If he fails to hit the target 3 weeks in a row, quickly replace him.

B4 u go into betting u have to understand the odds are always against u and yet u have to take the risk on what is against u. What does this mean? in beating u are naturally going to loose more than u win well unless u have the right strategies to minimise risk which is not easy to decode and not 100% guaranteed so don't bet with what u cannot afford to lose cos if u do that u will be emotionally addicted to trying to get it back and thats where ure addiction starts which implies more losses unless by some strange luck with is close to impossible than possible.

Betting is not a good survival strategy cos risk are too high. U should do it on survival mode. its more of a luxury strategy when u can afford to lose and not care.

If u want to grow on survival mode spend less and save more from whatever u earn. Then invest in something with low risks and a guaranteed outcome for ur investment.

U can win from betting 2day and loose everything 2moro. Its not a good investment to put ur capital or large sums with no knowledge of how to win.

Tbh, betting never ruined your life .

I want you to have it at the back of your mind that , there’s no amount of money you can make in betting that you can’t make in normal husle .

Chances of hitting millions in gamble is 0.001/100. For every guy that wins 1m, there are millions of people losing their lives savings on betting , consequently slide into depression . Mention 2 people you PERSONALLY KNOW who have built financial success through gamble , then compare to 100s whose lives have been ruined because of betting.

I stopped betting in feb 2019 or so,
Betting is a matrix created to keep us rolling and rounding the circle ultimately keeping us in struggling . You will see ONE BIG WINNER , it will lure you and you will realise it strictly a game of luck .

Do you think it’s easy for someone to just sit down in his room and predict what 22 players will do on the pitch (22 player is 1 game) then multiply by Maybe 10 games ( 220 players all together), you self check am.
Better not to Start wetin person no fit finish my brother.

Dear Brother, it's a fight !
You have to defeat it
Saying your salary isn't enough is because you've not been in a problems.
I urge you to manage and spend wisely.
Betting is devilish
It's not for you
Quit it
Very soon you'll go into borrowing from online loaner thinking you'll recover your losses.
Even if you win, my dear you'll still come back to wanting to win more.
And then all your wins becomes a gone case.

Pls quit now
Hang out with good circles pls
Stay bless bro

Not surprising since someone earlier posted about losing N400,000 that wasn't even his. But jokes apart, I think gambling is steadily becoming the albatross of so many promising young men these days. Wanting to augment the little one has is the bait that keeps hooking them, plus the fantasy which the betting company creates that deludes one into believing one can win. Having delved into it and experiencing both loses and winnings this is what I can advise you to do:
See betting as an enemy out to destroy you.
Pray for forgiveness if you believe in God and ask for help to overcome it.
Be very conscious of your thinking! Always endeavor to catch it when it starts wandering on its own as it is wont to. Stop it as soon as you notice it is flashing odds and names of teams. Get busy.
In the week you're expecting to be paid, prepare your mind well to meet the enemy head on, promising yourself not to be a maga this time. Be strong otherwise your enemy will win you again and you'll become frustrated and desperate. Do this with a happy feeling. Whenever you get money buy foodstuffs or fruits. If you are finding it difficult to feel happy, just keep telling yourself that it's much better to spend your money on your stomach than throwing it away to something faceless as betting. Doing this consistently will gradually reset your perspective. Finally the right perspective will make you realize that your N78,000 is not too small as betting wants you to believe, rather you will be able to see that it is really something.

Omo, we're into similar shit.I am currently owing my elder sister 50k.she gave it to me to help her save it so she can take it later and go to the market but she didn't know that her money has been used for betting.Same useless Man united denied me 118,000 which I planned using some of the money to clear my rent and keep the remaining for my sister.Greed and Fear is what is killing us in this betting business.
