Nigeria lack of resources: Governments may not always have the resources, such as funding or personnel, needed to tackle complex problems and make decisions quickly. This can lead to delays as officials work to secure the resources they need to move forward. Indeed it has doomed Nigerians |

N3TRAL:Your analysis at some points are false and therefore misleading. For example, your comparison of Nigerian electoral system with that of the US. America more or less practises two party system while that’s not the case in Nigeria. Thanks |

...And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. ..He that hath the Son hath life; [and] he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. ..These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. 1John 5:11-13 |

Chindozy:It's not false. That's exactly what I'm saying. The period to conclude their election petition is shorter because they're only two parties involved. In Nigeria, 18 parties are involved in 2023. They were more in 2019. Five political parties filed petitions against Tinubu's victory, two of them have withdrawn their petition. The court will now deal with three separate petitions as against the American court that would deal with one petition. Let's say all 18 of them filed and no one withdrew, the court would deal with 18 separate petitions as against America's one. The court has to treat their files separately and then come to a final conclusion. For instance, today was slated for Atiku's case alone. It is why 180 days is provided by law for the conclusion of Election Petition Tribunal in Nigeria. Try to comprehend a message before criticizing. |

tellsblinks:The statutory period is 180 days = 3 months. Anybody can, in his illusions, start to suggest the conduct of the judicial process to the SC .They don’t act on sentiments or intimidations by vested interest. They don’t sit to please anybody, but to please the law. And the law says 180 days maximum. So , all of you are just running yourselves into avoidable stress and pain. |

N3TRAL:INEC breach of its regulations is not the only thing Petitioners must prove. Tinubu did not win 25% in Abuja needs no proof. Tinubu's perjury on dual citizenship that he denied and did not mention to INEC requires no proof. Tinubu's issuer of Primary and O'Level Certificates that he has been unable to demonstrate does not require proof. Tinubu's refusal to mention his forfeiture of $460000 proceeds from drug trafficking, is perjury. |

illuminutty:Let me take these so called issues one by one 1. Narcotics. He wasn’t convicted, even if he was convicted, according to the constitution it does not disqualify him because it was over 10 years ago. Section 137. (1)e. (e) within a period of less than ten years before the date of the election to the office of President he has been convicted and sentenced for an offence involving dishonesty or he has been found guilty of the contravention of the Code of Conduct; or 2. 25% of FCT. Section 42(1)b. States 1) A citizen of Nigeria of a particular community, ethnic group, place of origin, sex, religion or political opinion shall not, by reason only that he is such a person:- (a) be subjected either expressly by, or in the practical application of, any law in force in Nigeria or any executive or administrative action of the government, to disabilities or restrictions to which citizens of Nigeria of other communities, ethnic groups, places of origin, sex, religions or political opinions are not made subject; or (b) be accorded either expressly by, or in the practical application of, any law in force in Nigeria or any such executive or administrative action, any privilege or advantage that is not accorded to citizens of Nigeria of other communities, ethnic groups, places of origin, sex, religions or political opinions. 3. Whether or not he presented a forged certificate in 1992, 1999 or 2003, The issues before the tribunal is Did he forge the certificate for this election? If not you have no case, Adelekan forged certificate in his last election, today he is governor because the certificate he presented this time is not forged. 4. Inec not following rules. Supreme Court has just ruled yesterday that INEC does not have to transmit results to IREV. It is a guideline not a law. 5. You may have a case here, this is the one I don’t know how the court will determine. But if it rules against Tinu u then Obi is also disqualified for not being a member of Lp 30 days before primaries. 6. This will be determined by the evidence. Obit will have to prove he won more votes than Tinubu. I can’t comment as I haven’t seen his evidence. All I can say is that even if he can prove he got more votes than Tinubu, unless Tinubu is disqualified outright, the election goes into a rerun and obi cannot win a rerun against Atiku or Tinubu. 7. Citizenship. Diplomatic passport is not citizenship. Countries give other nationals diplomatic passports for different reasons without them being citizens. A good example, when NADECO members fled Nigeria via Cotonou, they were issued passports of other countries to enable them flee to Europe and the US. Tinubu himself said this is his biography that he was issued a UK passport to enable him land in the UK. Sometimes small countries issue influential people diplomatic passports. It does not make them citizens or mean they are citizens. The only issues here are is 5&6. The others are dead on arrival. |
