The Presidential Election Petition Court has adjourned to Thursday, May 18, 2023, the continuation of the pre-hearing of the petition by the Peoples Democratic Party and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar against the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, of the All Progressives Congress.

In the petition marked CA/PEPC/05/2023, the PDP and Atiku are challenging the declaration of Tinubu as the president-elect by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Listed as 1st to 3rd respondents in the petition are the Independent National Electoral Commission, Bola Tinubu, and the APC.

The pre-hearing of the petition was taken first on Thursday morning after counsel for Atiku and PDP, Chris Uche (SAN), indicated an interest in the matter.

“I have the permission of Wole Olanikpekun to indicate interest first in number 2,” he told the tribunal.

Tinubu is a desperado without a single plan for Nigeria

Person wey him hand dey shake, leg dey shake brain dey shake, urine bladder dey shake

Him anus dey shake

Person wey no know him party name
He can’t pronounce words correctly

The judges must take their time to examine the prayers of the petitioners to avoid reaching their decisions per incuriam.

It is standard practice anywhere in the world.

The date set out for Election Petition in Nigeria is longer than most countries because of the diversity in Nigeria and our perculiar electoral system.

For instance, in the US, an Election Petition against an elected President of the Republican Party would only be brought by the Democrats.

In Nigeria, the law envisages a situation where all political parties that participated would bring their petition against the winner.

About 18 political parties participated in this election, more than 30 participated in 2019. There's no law that stops all of them from petitioning the victory of the winner. It is the very reason 180 days is fair for the completion of the process judiciously.

In law, he who alleges must prove. Tinubu does not necessarily need to prove that he won but the petitioners must prove that he didn't win. The petitioners must gather sufficient evidence to prove that they won instead.
It therefore follows that the chances of the party INEC declares winner are always higher than the chances of a petitioner.

The long length of time favours the petitioners since the burden of proof is weightier on them in the balance of probabilities.

Good!!!

Please don't blame the court, it seems Obi and Atiku are not serious with their petitions and since they have luxury of time to waste before paying the fine after the determination of the case, the court will help them waste it even the more yet some of their deluded supporters are saying Asiwaju should not be sworn in.

Imagine Adeleke was not sworn in since last year in an election he clearly won, isn't that invitation to anarchy?

Imagine, you claimed to want your "stolen mandate" restored yet you are bringing irrelevant and unlawful matters to the court and in the process, they are keeping mute on their main prayers.

I have never seen it happened anywhere in the world where a presidential election dispute is televised live and it's not also in our constitution and you know that judgement of the court is time bound.

Adeleke, Diri, Obi, oshiomole and many more of the opposition who went to the tribunal were returned elected without live broadcast of the proceedings despite being members of the opposition at the time.

Kai Kai Kai, we love too much play in this country.

But Atiku and Obi are bunch of time wasters and should be heavily fined.

If you think the judges will deliver on this case this year, you are a foreigner in Nigeria.

From May 18th, it will be adjourned to June. Gradually to next year…
