Have been seeing it around, should be good as other Sumec Firman we know of . Not sure of current price but should be heading towards 400k now. It's ratings are 4.5kva running power, 5.625 kva surge power.

Pls what could be the problem on my generator, I can't seem to get it to work efficiently when I power on my PS4 or even a small fridge..work for some minutes and sounding like it will go off.

Nothing hard dem ooo. That's what we get in a country without standards! It's very possible this and other generator models have fake ratings. This also applies to other brands not just Sumec. Since Nigerian officials like being bribed, expect the worst from cunning manufacturers.
Note that this particular gen and some others are only found in Sumec's Nigerian site and not on the international site.

Asides the negative review, Jumia is not a place to get accurate specs of aby device, be it Gen, phones, tvs, etc. Many sellers just literally copy and paste specs.
See the screenshot below, same Jumia.

Good day profs.

I'm planning to get a generator. I need your thoughts/advice from a guru point of view.

I have a 2hp pump machine. (i don't mind powering down other loads to power it, in rare cases where we have blackout that last for days)

Daily loads might be
2hp ac
1hp ac
65 inch Qled tv
Soundbars
laptops(4)
165L Freezer
Washing Machine.

Also i don't mind powering down some device to use the washing machine
Which generator KVA will you recommend?

I just jejely go buy the Tech Hustler 4.1kva today at about 296k today at Tech Show room. The Gen is little bit scarce

microwave are energy guzzlers. hit up to 1800w..depending on setting. check the energy rating of your microwave.. or simply get a 5kva gen if you cant be bothered..

Return if possible. The likely culprits resulting in a backfiring engine should not be experienced in a brand new generator.
