Did u include detailed itinerary, family photos, attestation frm ur kids school, shoool fees receipt for ur kids And are u travelling during the kids holidays? These are very important documents for family trip. Note I was also denied befor granted a family visa in November 2022 for Christmas holiday
Pushinglimits:
Hello Nairaland so I applied for a tourist visa for France which was unfortunately denied last week. Was looking to travel with my family, (two sons and wife), which are currently all UK citizens. Had a prior Schengen Visa to France about five years ago, have a previous UK visa, plus a current one as well. Account balance was over 5 million, plus also added my USD savings account info which is close to $20k. The reason for refusal was “ Justification for the purpose and conditions of the intended stay was not provided”. I included all necessary documents needed, as Ive been following this forum for quite awhile to know what was necessary before applying. I had also stated in my application that I’ll be spending a couple of days in Spain at a resort, but France would be the POE and where I’ll be spending the longest. I could have appealed but felt like it’ll would be quicker and easier to reapply. My question is should I reapply via France with the same documents but add updated bank statements and my renewed residential and business lease, and also give a better explanation of my itinerary, which I felt like I did initially but, didn’t give a day to day breakdown of my trip, or altogether just try another Schengen country to apply like Spain? I have businesses in Nigeria which I included proof in my application, kind of stumped as to why my application was actually denied, especially with UK travel history and a previous Schengen visa.

No, I didn't include any of these, I'll make sure these are included when I reapply. Yes, I'm also travelling during the summer holiday. Did you originally included these documents in your first application?

Hello guys,
I intend to apply for a France visa. I have two personal accounts. In the Zenit account, there is huge money inside, and in the GTB, not much. I intend to transfer huge amounts of money from the Zenit account to the GTB because I always use the GT due to cash flow in and out. It is wise to transfer?

Print both bank statements out since it’s both in your name.

Hello all, I submitted my application yesterday, on the UPS and payment receipt, I noticed that the lady mistyped one letter of my 1st name incorrectly, but my biometric receipt has my correct names. Is this something to worry about?

We have now been asked to resubmit passport for UK decision making (in just one week) meanwhile Italy just received our application not too long ago.

What can I do? Anyone with suggestions or similar experience please will be appreciated.
Hi Dami is there any update on this? Did Uk give a specified timeline that the passport must be brought in? I read somewhere it’s 28 days?

I haven’t got any update. When they called to request the passports, they didn’t give any timeline. They have called twice so far.

You can "borrow" your passport from italy embassy and give them back when you are done.

Thank you for all the information on this thread.

Submitted my application for a visit to The Netherlands at VFS, Lekki on Friday, May 5th. Passport returned to VFS and picked up by UPS on May 11th and delivered to me at home on Saturday, May 13. 8 days total. This is my second Schengen visa, first one was in 2014 and was valid for 3 months. This new one is valid for 6 months.

Docs submitted
Flight ticket
Hotel reservation for 8 day duration of trip
Intro letter from workplace
Cover letter detailing my plans and itinerary

Copy of my child’s birth certificate
Copy of visa pages, expired and valid
3 months personal bank statements (2 usd and 1 naira)
3 months business bank statements

Bank statement balances were sort of low but inflow/outflow look very good showing day-day, month-month activity.

Hello NLs
I got visa refusal to attend a conference in Netherlands.

The accommodation, flight and other expenses were fully covered by the organisation.

But the reasons for refusal was that there are doubts about the authenticity of the supporting documents.
And the justification of the purpose and conditions of stay is not reliable.

Please how can I address these concerns on my next application?

Hi Dami I submitted today and from the document I signed for KMP, it says you have 28 working days to resubmit your passport or risk losing your visa. Hope this helps. All the best

Oh UK visit visa will definitely be ready before 8th June. We submitted for UK on a Wednesday and by Thursday the following week, they called for passport return. We really should have just waited but were trying to avoid traveling to Abuja twice for application submissions

I asked for it back the week before last that I will send it back or if it’s possible for them to fast track the application and just make a Decision before they send it back.

And they responded asking for our details but almost 2 weeks later, the passport is still not back

I really have no idea what is going on at the Italian consulate. it seems they're on a prolonged holiday or just can't be bothered. My application was made over a month ago and it's been crickets since then. I'm envious that my people got their passports back within a week of applying at the French consulate!

It clearly said 28 working days on the paper I signed. I suspect the visa will be ready before then but like you said, I didn’t want to risk it
