Petlanders, my 4 months old Caucasian suddenly stopped eating nor drinking and it's very weak, a very big puppy is now so slim and fragile.
The supposed vet in my area is quak and I, don't know how to go about it.
I don't think it's parvo cos it's not vomiting nor forming.
Anyone with similar experience in the past should tell me what to give it pls

What and what have you tried feeding the puppy?

What you have to do is force feed immediately. I mean you have to make sure gets to its stomach by force. Open the mouth and force food in then follow with water. if you expect it to eat on its own with this condition then expect weakness and whatever is wrong to get worse. You should not have allowed it get to this level but do this immediately.

Still force feed include liquids especially if there is diarrhea. Mehn parvo has been messing pups up all round Naija. So many cases over here in Jos too.

PARVO na virus so u cant buy a drug to treat it. you have to manage the vomiting and diarrhea first. Whhat is the current condition of the dog.is it vomiting and also having watery stool

Right now it is to replenish lost fluids and make sure it eats so that any drug taken would be effective

Flagyl for diarrhea and Diphenhydramine to stop vomitting 2-4mg per Kg

Make sure to disinfect where ever he vomited with bleach. Try to take the puppy to a vet as early as possible. You wouldn’t be able to manage it alone, that’s the honest truth. So you don’t lose the puppy. The dog is not so young, so has good chances of surviving if properly treated.

It's vomiting but not stooling probably cos it's stomach is empty

Make sure to disinfect where ever he vomited with bleach. Try to take the puppy to a vet as early as possible. You wouldn’t be able to manage it alone, that’s the honest truth. So you don’t lose the puppy. The dog is not so young, so has good chances of surviving if properly treated.

That dog need to see a good vet as soon as possible cause it needs alot of fluid infusion very important alot of it , then for the vomiting try giving prometh this will stop the vomiting , also buy disinfectant spray and liquid and regularly use in the surrounding ,also stop visitors from going close to the dog.

Might not be parvo..
Have you vaccinated your dog?
My gsd experienced the same exact thing..
Now the dog is as healthy as a horse

Mine is vomiting and it's mouth is foaming. It doesn't eat nor drink anything and very weak..How did u revive your gsd?

Gave it folic acid(stop vomiting)
Warm wate,sugar and salt solution (to give it strength to be able to feed).

Worked like magic

Thanks to everyone for your contribution, my puppy has recovered from parvo.
The process wasn't easy, even the vet told me to throw it away that it will surely die but I never gave up on it.
