I'm currently a 400 level student of Enugu State University Of Science And Technology, Computer Engineering, and we're currently facing a big issue, which the management of the school wants to keep hidden.

Here's what's happening,We wrote a practical on Feg293 when we were in 300 level First semester and I all submitted my practical manuals and made sure to attend the Classes the lecturer did have with us. So I'm currently in 400 level 1st semester and our Results for the course was released,and to my very surprise I had missing scripts

Upon seeing I had a missing scripts, I noticed that 80% of the class had missing scripts also. And the lecturer is requesting that we all make Payments of ₦7000 before we have our original results uploaded and assigned to us , and failure to do so will result in us having carryovers

And the whole class is just keeping mute on this matter fearing the lecturer and not wanting to say anything, please I know that we can get our voices heard,this is not right

see i will suggest you pay for most of these people you call lecturers are very wicked useless and most times above the law of the land.

some people are bigger than Nigeria as nation that they will surely get away with any crime and evil they committed.

So what's the use of his salary when he obviously can't impact knowledge

Ontop of that he is scamming student

This is for sure an eye opener, a taste of things to encounter in the labour market.

One thing I have realized with university staff is that most of them protect each other.
So nobody you can actually complain to that will do anything.

Just pay the money and move on

It's either you pay the money or you get ready to pay for at least three extra years school fees.

Those lecturers can be mean and unforgiving and unfortunately,they work hand in hands .

Other lecturers will even join in punishing you if you attempt anything funny.

It's the sad reality in Universities.

like my class rep go talk for esut that year "the money is not compulsory but its necessary"...i know you have a good heart and mean well for your society.. but be a good nigerian student and pay the 7k.. it is what it is..

They always have 101 causes to frustrate you, they may decide to delay your final year project, omit your names from graduating students, or delay your nysc posting etc

Yes. This is the rubbish going on in those dead sepulchers once known as the ivory towers. The case of UNIBEN Is the worst. It’s useless getting a degree from a first generation university in this country in view of the rot caused by corruption. The situation is hopeless!

Please this should be pushed to the appropriate authorities and tag the Enugu State University Of Science And Technology VC and stakeholders on Twitter. You can't continue oppressing people's kids and yet, after graduation, no single employment plan for them.

Bros! I don't think your classmates are afraid to speak . I think they are applying wisdom considering that they are already in final year.
