No genuine Imo son or daughter should be campaigning for the reelection of Hope Uzodinma. That guy is too devilish to lead a people in dire need of development and progress.
He must be reelected! I support his infrastructural Agenda!

You all will cry rigging again

IMO ECONOMIC EXPANSION

The era of Imo as the economic hub, east of the Niger is here as the State is set to experience further economic boast with the proposed Orashi Oil and Gas Free Trade Zone in Imo State.

A free trade zone entails less restrictions, less taxation and as such, no limitation to business activities that will rise to economic limelight, improved revenue and greater development across the region and the State. This comes with great job opportunities for the Imo population and will surely open up new economic ventures.

This is the brewing expectations as the Shared Prosperity administration of His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, seeks to create an Oil and Gas Free Trade Zone across Oguta, Ohaji/Egbema and Ngor Okpala Local Government Areas.

The Orashi Oil and Gas Free Trade Zone, which will be flagged off with the dredging of the Oguta Lake and Orashi Waterways today by Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, will give rise to multiple industrial ventures with multiplying effects on subsectors.

Beyond the geographical benefits of dredging the waterways, there is a bigger economic turnaround and venture for the State, the region and the nation at large. Multinationals and a large number of incorporations established around the region and the State for diverse economic and commercial activities.

Oh yeah! One may wonder how the Government intends to handle the resulting effects of gas flaring. But with gas gathering, collation and processing centers, these are eliminated to guarantee a clean and healthy environment.

It is expected to have sufficient depth to berth small to medium size vessels, and provide an evacuation corridor for gas and other products processed and /or produced with the Oil & Gas Free Trade Zone for sale to neighboring states as well as export purposes.

I am full of enthusiasm for businesses that will spring up, in the region and the State, with the establishment of the Orashi Oil and Gas Free Trade Zone and I encourage my Imo people, as business-minded as we are, to key into this great opportunity and harvest bountifully.

Mrs Nneamaka Okafor
SA New and Electronic Media

to have sufficient depth to berth small to medium size vessels, and provide an evacuation corridor for gas and other products processed and /or produced with the Oil & Gas Free Trade Zone for sale to neighboring states as well as export purposes

This is the main reason for this project! Oil is getting overrated now Gas is the new Dawn!

I hope IMO Govt will take full control of her Gas resources. .

Unless you want to come from Oshogbo to vote for Hope Uzodinma, no Imo son or daughter will vote for him. The only way that dude can win election is through rigging. Leave your SW. Go and ask Imo people what they think about him. I get it - nobody cares about performance in APC!

@rtdCivilservant This one is here shouting infrastructure. Ask him to list the major things Hope Uzodinma did in four years, he will go incommunicado.

I gave you a useful advice that you should pay some attention on your state. There are so many issues ravaging your imo state that should concern you but rather you guys would always ignore it and camp here everyday just to scrutinise every single post here. Leave igbo or SE, let everyone for once face his or state of origin.

It's like persons from Imo state wishing another 4 years for Hope Uzodinma don't understand the level of economic loss visited by Uzodinma on Imo state. Indebtedness of Imo state is highest in the SE. Imo Diaspora who frequented the state with dollars dread coming home.
The once 2nd economic hub of the state is now a deserted place, no thanks to Uzodinma who wished that for Orlu. Who mentions the 3rd economic hub of the state again? The Mbaises, the Mbanos and the other smaller productive business hubs of the state are gripped by fears of the unknown in a state of insecurity. Well, so long as Uzodinma makes Owerri look nice, he is the best governor for those who want another 4 years for him. All it takes next November to recover Imo state is: get a candidate who can produce armed militia to counter Uzodinma's militia. Next president will not be keen to use armed forces to interfere in Imo state election.

There's always one evil fool that will support you regardless of who you are. Imo has lost a lot of time being a headless ship. We have honestly not had a governor since Ohakim. Rochas was using Imo as a platform for his presidential run and everything he did was fake and for cameras. Now Hope has show us that there's even worst in store.

Even if you love Uzodinmma he can't govern because the state is refusing to cooperate in the form of constant strikes and armed attacks. All of these things directly tied to him being the governor.

Let us forget that he is actually killing people in Imo state and ending young people and old women's lives at random with Ebubeagu. This doesn't seem to bother Nigerians so I won't emphasize this point too much.

Some things are clear as day, Uzodinmma is a problem and nobody who deserves anything better would ever pretend we're not in trouble. Even the ones who think they are going to get government posts one day by saying nonsense, just know that he's not even in full control of APC in Imo and cannot do anything for you.

Are you going to pretend that Hope is not significantly worst than anyone we have ever seen? Your question is why Nigeria is cursed this is how Buhari came from federal prison to be president because people were asking if he can be worst than Jonathan despite being a shown terrorist. Stop spreading curses.

I used to think u were a sensible and objective person (especially whenever u and Chino rant here) until lately. Uzodinma may not be the best but he is obviously not the worst, at least he is far better than Rochas. In fact the man is really trying in some aspects... we should learn to commend our leaders when they work and criticise them when they are derailing. U and many don't want to see anything good in Uzodinma because he is APC, we must not always be bittered... Verily, verily I tell u, the negative and bad image that u give to ur state in public, is exactly the way others will see it, this is very common among Imo people, they think portraying their state in a bad light makes them a more civilised people.
Ask Abia people today, Abia is not the worst state in Nigeria, but because of the bad ways Abians painted their state and leaders in public fora like this, today, Abia is always used as an example of a failed state. Another one is this, Anambra government is not doing anything extraordinary, but because Anambarians always speak good of their leaders and state, it is always looking like the state is always doing well. Let us eschew bitterness from us.

Hmmm. "Uzodinma may not be the best, but ..." ----- According to you.
And you will stick to Uzodinma for 2nd term. In other words, you don't aspire for the best.
Rebuilding Federal roads to connect parts of Imo state abandoned to rot by Uzodinma govt to Owerri, painting and reconstruction of urban roads in Owerri, it's hard to find other achievements in 4 years of Uzodinma's sojourn as gov of Imo state.
Person like you have no regrets for the lives of scores of citizens of Imo state lost since Uzodinma became gov of Imo state.
The loss goes on. But if the chief security officer of a state, the state governor, is unable to end the loss of lives and property in his state, why can't he resign?

Security of lives and property in a given territory is the number one prerequisite for development in the territory. A large portion of Imo West zone has been battered, deserted, govt services in the area relocated to the state capital by Uzodinma, and the area returned to near civil war era under Uzodinma administration. You don't give the damn because you have no business, like Uzodinma, with that area of Imo West zone; no sense of understanding, like Hope Uzodinma, that economic development of a state can never be measured by the economic buoyancy in one small portion of the state - Owerri federal constituency - in the case of Imo state.

Politicians wittingly or unwittingly brought Boko Haram to the northeast of Nigeria to gain some religio-political advantages. Before the politicians could count 5, the whole of northern Nigeria got infested with Boko Haram and bandits. All of Imo state is at risk of expansion of the banditry initiated in part of Imo West zone shortly after Uzodinma became gov; banditry initiated for political vendetta to settle old political scores against some perceived political foe from that part of Imo West zone. Don't be deceived: what business has the accused IPOB or ESN got to gain from sinking its teeth like a cancer on that part of Imo West zone? Did the people in the area reject Biafra?

These fools supporting Hopeless Uzodinjo don't mean well for Imo State. They just support him because of the peanuts they're getting from him. This man is by far the worst governor to rule Imo State since 1999!

Are Imo people aware that this con man is currently about to sponsor 100 Muslims on pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia? This is not hearsay! I saw this with my eyes in Ama awusa! About 100 Northern Muslims are about to be sent to Saudi Arabia for pilgrimage with Imo State money!

He procured their passports via express and also sent them to go and do medicals. With Imo State money!

Their flight tickets, visa, basic travel allowance, accommodation etc will be paid 100% by the Imo State government!

Has any Northern Muslim governor ever sponsored Igbo Christians to Israel or Rome for pilgrimage?!

This man is busy destroying Imo State and some condemned fools are here supporting him. Anyways, I have given up because this same man is likely to win reelection despite all these attrocities. He has given appointment to 200 hundred influential youths in all the local governments so they would fight for him on election day. That was how he had a clean sweep of rigging in the last election!

After wasting all these monies with reckless abandon, and accumulating debt for Imo State, he then constructs a couple of roads and these fools are saying he is working. I don't even want to mention hundreds of youths that died under his watch.

It will never be well with your wicked souls, you've cursed yourselves for eternity for supporting evil.

are you normal? How's Uzodinma better than Rochas? Someone that failed in his primary assignment - protection of life and property.

Were you around last Christmas? Did you see how everywhere looked dry and empty? That's the result of the insecurity ushered in by uzodinma. Do you know how many youths that have been murdered by Ebube Agu and Nigerian armed forces within the last three years?

Even my Orlu that used to be a beehive of economic activities pre 2020 has been turned to a ghost town.

Do you know that some communities in orsu and oru east LGA have been totally deserted by the indigens due to insecurity?

Accepted, Okorocha littered the state with substandard projects. But during his reign Imo was the most peaceful state in the Federation.
He performed creditably well in education and even the Owerri we're talking about today received its present look during Okorocha's reign through his urban renewal. Orlu and Owerri were booming with economic activities those days compared to to the ghost towns we have now.

Uzodinma is the second worst thing to have happened to Ndigbo after the Nigeria/ Biafra war. As such removing him from office is task every Imolite must participate in, to accomplish.

That he reasphalted two or three roads shouldn't be an atonement for his atrocities.

I am sure if he was to sponsor Christians for pilgrimage (which in any case he will do when it is time for Christian's own) u wouldn't see anything wrong. I as a person, I have always spoken against government (state or federal) sponsoring people to go for pilgrimage, whether Christians or Muslims, anyone that feels he or she wants to go for pilgrimage should sponsor themselves. Back to the matter u raised, since Nigeria is a mess, where government sponsor people for pilgrimage, then by Nigerian standard, it is not a crime for uzodinma to sponsor 100 Muslims for pilgrimage cos he will also do the same when it is time for Christian's pilgrimage; don't forget there are Muslim imolites; I am sure ur thinking is that he wants to sponsor northerners ( which obviously muslim northerners residing in the state would benefit too). I understand how u feel, but this is one of the reasons we say religion is part of our problem, for instance, government shouldn't have any business building mosques and churches.

Nothing violence is happening in Owerri; therefore Imo state is calm and developing; abi?
In large parts of Imo state, Hope Uzodinma's actions and action have practically closed down real economic activities and once good lifestyles of citizens.

Other governors were seriously commissioning projects last week, but Hope Uzodinma was sponsoring people to Israel on pilgrimage. The same thing we kick against when it's done in the north.

Hope Uzodinma has finally buried Imo State with lacklustre performance.
