Justice Haruna, the courts should be an embodiment of transparency not a place of opacity and darkness.
The Ghanian presidential tribunal and Kenyan presidential tribunal all transmitted live proceedings.

What exactly are you guys trying to hide? Ghana-must-go bags under your desks? We shall see.

If you like, reference the Presidential Tribunal in Soweto and Guam. No live coverage. If you don't like it, go to hell.

As expected!

The day they banned phones from the courts was the day I knew they weren’t going to allow live broadcast of the proceedings.

But on a more reasonable note, the PEPC allowing for live broadcasts would have led to ripple effects on all Election Tribunals across the country which would have led to some form of chaos.

Live broadcast or no live broadcast, all we ask for is for justice to be done and our mandate recovered.

Again, Live broadcast or no live broadcast, Obi is coming.

Coming to where

Or u want to say Obi is a goner

Good riddance to bad rubbish. The proceedings are held in public. Why would you want a live broadcast if not to mock and ridicule the judges. Let them continue to waste their time.
If not out of delusion, nobody can mock or riddicle a judge for delivery of sound and reasonable judgement. Instead, they are held in high regard and respected more to that effect.

In other words, SECRET Presidential Election Petition Tribunal Process has merit.

Nigeria 🇳🇬 is the only different country on Planet Earth.

A country where anybody can be appointed to pronounce anybody as president-elect, and the person is sworn in as president.

I think the tribunal just scored an own goal... It is unbelievable to think that same judiciary that is anchored on justice, equity and fairness would throw out a suit seeking transparency in proceedings of interest to every citizen of nigeria.
Transparency is not equal to live broadcast. The proceedings are being held in public with reps of the parties to the suit and their lawyers granted access. No benefits whatsoever will the live broadcast bring.

This is very commendable and victory to democracy

Indeed the judiciary is the only hope fir the common man.

Next, obi case will be struck out as he was never eligible to context the elevtion and lacks any powers to challenge Tinubu victory.

I don't think you're as smart as you think you are. How did you manage to reduce the statement there to a threat to the judges families by the poster while excluding the stated instrument of threat embedded in the statement.?. If you say he threatened the judges, therefore you agree that the APC and Buhari cum Tinubu are instruments to deliver harm.

Secondly, I don't think you know the meaning of emotional. If you do, you'll understand the Southeast has never been emotional in political support of a candidate. Rather, the Southwest is a region that it's people can NEVER reason objectively. Thier decisions are always clouded by emotions. Besides arears that voted on religious sentiments, point one state that Tinubu won outside the Southwest !!!.

Igbos are pompous no doubt but not emotional. Especially on issues with serious consequences like politics. On the other hand, you can't separate the Yorubas from Tribalism, betrayal and cowardice. It's a known fact to the rest of Nigerians.

I dont know why this election thing is overly emotional to some people especially the south easterner. This is beyond the hate for Tinubu or Buhari. This is something else.

I just checked the twitter page of ChannelsTV where this news was posted. And the first comment that appeared in the comment section says alot. Infact it mirrored the exact reason why the tribunal refused to grant the live coverage. Imagine someone threatening the lives of the judges and their family.

A random mad fellow who is very confident to threaten the family of the judges, publicly; can also harm or kill the witnesses who are going to testify.

Dont be stupid. Go back and re-read the tweet. Very slowly this time, at the rate a slowpoke can comprehend things. It is you that have 'comprehension issue'. You cant even identify a direct threat, your tiny little brain couldn't detect the threat in that statement.

Oga go to the page and see the comments rebuking him for his statement. Go there and see his replies.

We have been watching live proceedings from several courts in Europe and US but one black shiit will sit down here and tells that the application lack merit.
Why the idiot no mention the law that says no live streaming.

You are pushing narratives here. you were the 3rd person to comment and all of a sudden in that crazy narcissitic head of yours you assumed South east were emotional about the judgement not allowing live proceeedings. That is high level of being delusional ooooo.

I just realized why Nigeria's growth is retard, we are overly emotional in this country little wonder why the politicians keep scamming us by playing the emotional game to the extent that Obi went to cry on the national Tv grin .What a shame, any case that lacks the constitutional backing lacks merit in the court of law undecided . Studying the Nigerian constitution should be made compulsory in institutions. Illiteracy is our major problem in Nigeria, where in the constitution is it spelt out to televise the tribunal session undecided . Nigerian lawyers are fraudsters, the legal counsel of LP & PDP knew that this case is dead on arrival but they choose to ignore it so that they can collect some lion's share. It's Obi that I pity most
if he didn't loot as a governor I am afraid that he is parting away with most of his wealth on baseless cases grin
