1hp should do well in your mini flat apartment and again, will consume less power.

Non inverter ACs are good but will consume more power compared to the inverter ACs especially if you will be using on prepaid meter and voltage isn't so good in your environment as well as being cheaper.

LG is better than those Brands you listed.

The Chinese made of Panasonic will still have same technology as the ones manufactured in Malaysia or South Korea or even India. But quality of parts used in manufacturing will differ anyway. Again, price won't be same as those brands you mentioned from China.

Equally, the longevity of the products might be in doubt.

If that's the case, why not buy the cheaper mideas than adding extra bucks to buy Chinese models of top brands and ending up with no advantage.

No, they won't be but will last better than those Chinese brands. For instance, like midea, the way the components are arranged isn't like Samsung or Panasonic. The engineering is quite different especially in the area of the Panel.

I think a lot of people under rate this Chinese product o. I’ve had this syinix for 3 years. Non inverter but low energy consuming. It cools soo much that every thing in the room would be ice cold to touch .unfortunately it has almost doubled in price now as I need another one for my living area

Sometimes a 190V will power it effortlessly and sometimes even 210V wont as it would switch off after a couple of seconds.

It's a 1.5HP inverter AC (Hisense), which I've been using for a year now with no problem (I don't use stabiliser for the AC as I was told at Fouani that it wasn't needed)

Sometimes, I have to use my gen to switch it on then wait for a couple of mins before reverting to NEPA before it work or else, it won't work.

The voltage has been the same for months (estate has its own transformer) so I don't know the reason behind the sudden change.

Everyone uses Hisense in my house and the same voltage powers them effortlessly except mine.

Is there a reason for this witch behaviour?

Go for new AC bro...I bought used LG AC..chilled for only 2 months before I noticed it's no more chilling due to gas leakage... we're still finding where the leakage is

I understand your fear, and your friend is right.... It is necessary to vacuum an air conditioner but not really mandatory for a new unit, But it's compulsory if the unit has been worked on (Compressor)

I've done lot of vacuuming onboard our ship (Our air conditioning system doesn work like our conventional AC and requires pamper and lot of preventive maintenance lol)... Believe me, if you don't vaccum the system, it's gonna mess up the unit and HVAC on ships cost a fortune.

Even new units need to be vacuumed because you need to remove the air trapped in the copper pipes

They don't have a name when it comes to air-conditioning. There are brands that once you mention, you know what to expect from them. It's just like saying buying Hisense TV as against Samsung or Sony or even LG. Hisense doesn't measure up in this case in the aspect of quality.
