Festus Keyamo posted on his twitter account:

On March 18th, 2005, when the issue of the tenure of a Governor who retrieves his mandate through the judicial process was not settled and when Peter Obi was to be robbed of his full tenure, I went all out to defend him and insisted he must spend his four years in office based on the provisions of the Constitution, even when legendary lawyers like my late boss, Chief Gani Fawehinmi, SAN, SAM, held a different view. We continued to push this point until the Supreme Court vindicated some of us at the Bar.

We defended him based on our pure conviction, even when we never met him then. We have been in this business of defending our patriotic beliefs for decades, so when we see overnight keyboard ‘activists’ make all kinds of insinuations, we just snigger at them. We don’t respond. We allow them wallow in their pitiable ignorance.

In addition to the above, when some of us dispassionately tell you that the law is devoid of the hullabaloo and sentiments on the social media space, please take it to the bank. Did you see the cases that were thrown out of the window today by various courts like we also correctly predicted? If you like, trend a hashtag from now till the Petitions are decided by the Supreme Court or bring prayer ‘warriors’ to the precincts of the court from now till the thy kingdom come, the law will take its course. Please, save your money and energy. Let the lawyers do their job.

Keyamo was just bought over by money. The man Tinubu or BAT or whatever he calls himself just bought his way to power.

If there is any serious lesson I learnt from this election it is;
"Power is indeed greater than money (he who has power can subdue that with money), but when you make excess money, you can buy power and even buy those that have the right to subdue power."

This is not the kind of personality I envisaged for a president.

I supported Peter Obi but I made up my mind that if the election is free and fair just like prof Mahmood Yakubu has promised us then I will accept whatever result being declared.

But as you all may have it. We saw the worst election in the history of Nigeria. The only people supporting the duggie of a candidate are criminals, people that have criminal intention, or simply tribal bigots who have sold their conscience for pennies.

What do you mean by the bolded statement?

Do you also mean Peter Obi is not synonymous to progress, development and prosperity?

For you to support a corrupt personality like Tinubu despite the seeing the sham of an election that took place says a lot about you.

Not every person/personality can say No to Tinubu's money.

Only few can maintain their ground and say No to his money no matter how much he or she was lobbied.

Keyamo are one of the many that said Yes to Tinubu's money.

Everything depends on personality and integrity

Funny you. You are comparing a man that is banking on the glory of an already made state to one that deleted, reconfigured and built from scratch?

And where did you get this "lack ideas and innovation" from?

What did Tinubu achieve in Lagos other than over tasking Lagos dwellers with both institutions he set and agberos?

that's the problem you people have,already made state.so because your states are not ready made then it should remain in stagnation...I dont see any tangible development there in 2050 with your type of mindset.funny enough the activities of agbero in your states is even more disgusting,touts will even collect money from you for crossing a bridge on foot.we know how unbearable and unliveable your states can be.

grin I can see a the likes of LeoDtoddler, chief hord of zombies and HellAnus are doing a great job here. They are really good in feeding the gullible with lies.

Let me educate you because you are dieing of sheer ignorance and tribalism infused in you by your
hate filled kingsmenn on Nairaland;

Lagos was once under the control of the British before it used as Nigerians capital for 70 years. Abuja on the other hand is just 31 years old (of being the countries capital).

When all major infrastructure were built in the state when it was the capital tell me why Lagos/such a state won't be more developed than any other state in Nigeria?

It's just like Abuja now. Assuming the countries capital is moved from Abuja to Rivers tomorrow and then a governor rules Abuja for 8 yrs and then goes on to contest for election, claiming he built Abuja then him and his supporters are not just stupid but mad. 😐

FYI, Anambra State is just 32 yrs old but it is the most developed state in Nigeria after Abuja and Lagos, followed by Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Kano. DYOR. Google is your friend. Stop capping shit.

You will say when Keyamo defended Obi in a case... not when he was fighting for him...

And remember, fighting for and fighting with are two different things...

Lol, fear politicians.

Na hunger pursue some of them into politics, that's why you see them desperately defending their masters; no matter how wrong they are, if not they will not have food to eat.
