"The system rewards their labour better despite not necessarily working harder than others" - You can go to medical school for years to also benefit. What a very ignorant statement!

Peoples earning and pay are many times not a direct reflection of their hardwork or effort put in.

Different societies reward different roles in different ways due to a complex myriad of factors many of which are artificial.

It depends on how much time you still have on your visa and also the mood of the Border Agent you meet on arrival. They may not let you in If you have less than 2 months.

Even with a valid BRP?

This is highly insensitive of you and uncalled for.

Is people like you that will pay keen attention to their friend's problems so that they can have story to tell when the friend thinks they want to help.

If you cannot profer solution don't compound the problems.

You even have time responding, I did as if I never saw the comment, lots of dependents indeed have incredible skills but just one narrative is what folks like you quoted need to paint everyone with same brush. The Tiamiyu guy is still a learner compared to some nairalanders

Yes. I know someone it happened to granted this was over 16 years ago so may no longer be the case. She was held back at the airport for over 6 hours and was told she had no business coming back to the UK as her studies had finished. She explained she needed to pack her stuff and close her bank accounts and sort her tenancy etc. They eventually let her in but she was really traumatised by the whole experience.

The question though is why risk it? You can’t rule out the fact that you might meet an overzealous Border Agent especially now that that they are trying to reduce so called ‘net migration’. The OP should get his PSW or switch to work visa before going on any jolly.

You were better off using this narrative as against the comparison with another profession.

NB: I don't belong to the medical profession

The so called care job is a minimum paying job for mostly cause they don’t get more certifications and training there are people in the Sector that earns40k to 50 yearly and they are fine.the bottom line just develop your skill no be everyone go fit do business analyst or data analyst earn all these courses you have to be ready to do some more sacrifices and spend more. My company team leader is 23 lol she can’t even look at me some times if I have one on on with her cause of my stature and my age lol but I still obey her she dy drive 20plate car with customized name all she did was college and lots of certifications and me I went to uni studied chemical engineering but my experience is not recognized. So I have to start from the scratch so it’s best we do something we can that mental and health sector as for me is a easy path to reach the top than those complicated IT industry
Curious to know which organisation told you this. Your Chem eng experience from Nigeria is relevant as long as it is in a similar field. Many have gotten experienced roles and continued their careers while others had to step back so as to get on the ladder quickly.

Having a visa does not necessarily guarantee entry. The final decision to admit someone into the country ultimately lies with the Immigration officer at the point of entry. 99.9% of the time you will be allowed in without a fuss, but there’s still that 0.1% chance that you’ll meet an IO that woke up from the wrong side of their bed.

It depends on what the role entails and whether the DL was listed as an essential requirement for the job. If you need to attend meetings offsite, visit clients etc then you will need a driving license.

There is no issues if he knows about various categories of car damages in UK as well explain to you to know the insurance implications. Also, most cars at copart requires fixing which depends on whether body work or mechanical.

Is it advisable for an international to travel out of the UK immediately after his course without changing changing his visa from student visa?

For as long as you still have month left on your Brp.

For instance brp to end 31/05/2023.

Trip to Paris. Departure 24/03- Arrival 30/03. No issue at entry.

Trip to Lagos. Departure 07/04- Arrival 27/04. No issues. Only question asked was, are you applying for PhD after? 😂😂😂. For my mind, I was like shey you dey whine me ni.

No it’s not compulsory to learn with manual but if you learn with automatic, you can only drive automatic when you pass your test.
