Left to me, If I were resting Frederick due to his yellow cars ahead of the KOs, I would have started Agbalaka at LCB alongside Ogwuche. Njoku at RB and Israel Domingo at LB. It would have been much better than pairing Bameyi with Ogwuche.

Njoku cost us this game in the first half. Bameyi covered the centre pushing the scorer a little away from goal. Where was Njoku the right back? He lacks pace and always out of position expecting Bameyi to cover for him every time. Njoku should never have started. Bameyi back to RB and Benjamen back to CB. Don't play that card here!

Njoku is a far more better and composed CB than Bameyi, yet Bameyi plays ahead of him. I just don't get it.

Overall, that Dominican republic match was the massive decider of the group. We messed up by even conceded then such a low goal when we should be 5-0

We have a very good team that is quiet difficult to beat. We have struck the post twice and played some beautiful football. Even our Sub came to the party. The Brazilians scored from a corner kick and counter, good for them but they are not a better team.

Njoku that didn't even get dribbled past. Njoku who won 100% of his ground duels.

Bameyi meanwhile was always rushing his clearances when under no pressure and also just hoofing the ball up top aimlessly. 10 long balls in the first half alone, all inaccurate.

For the first goal, he literally lost that his aerial duel. Terrible aerial defending allowing that dude even get infront of him.

For the second, he literally vacated the space he should have patiently defended to block a path on goal while Ogwuche already had the Brazilian ball holder occupied. That was Bamey showing his poor positional awareness.

All he has done today is just rush to clear the ball and hoof it up top. Anyone can do that. Terrible performance.

He was exposed today at CB but he is less exposed at RB where his defending alone covers for all else as he isn't expected to see much of the ball as a fullback compared to CBs.
