A young man identified as Christian Ugbede Abuka, has died in an auto crash two days after he completed his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program in Kwara State, IGBERETV reports.

It was gathered that Christian collected his NYSC certificate on Thursday, May 25, 2023.

The accident was said to have occurred in Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State on Saturday, May 28.

His ailing mother, who was eagerly expecting him, slumped and died after receiving news of his death.

His brother, Joseph Abuka, confirmed the sad news on Facebook.

Life is unfair....sometimes it feels like the forces that control the affairs of this world have just left us to do what we like.....try dey enjoy urself people....karma is real but very selective, the judgement of God on wicked people can be undone by grace of God on these wicked people....u may want to wonder why would God have grace or mercy on wicked people but then we cannot question God... All I can say is this, just do good and enjoy ur life to the fullest while u have it....I know u want to wait till u have a certain amount before u start creating memories....but what if u are not appointed to even stay that long...create sweet memories of yourself so ur loved ones can have something beautiful to hold on to while u are gone

Road transport safety needs to be seriously improved. No parents should have to deal with this.

We have heartless people in government. Those in whose charge it is to do certain jobs will not do them, but leave them to chase frivolities. One day, what they refused to do will eventually do them.
An accident took place. No one will do an investigation and present a report to prevent a reoccurrence. What a country!
A serious accident occurred in our nation. Those who caused it are well known to Nigerians and have been rewarded with their loots from the man-made accident. We hope the judiciary still examining the various reports on the accident will pass a honest judgement to make the looters return the mandate they stole.
May the souls of mother and son rest in peace.

I keep saying, federal government should find alternative to this NYSC.
The time and money wasted on this NYSC of a thing can be useful on other ways. The money spent on kaki and other NYSC kits including the allawee should be calculated and disbursed into every graduate accounts. This will help them build their lives, start business and do will within themselves and employ others. After spending one year of the so-called NYSC in a far away land, squandering the small allawee and return home no job

The major objective of the NYSC scheme is far more holistic than you think and although your suggestion makes sense, the program which is meant to play a part in the unity of Nigeria is fulfilling its purpose.

Let's only always pray that our corpers safely return home after serving their fatherland.
