I am a witness to this incident, Christian was my primary school class mate and we grew up together in the same community.The news got to us like a thunderbolt, this was a guy who suffered to get to where he is today but death comes when it's time for you to go,no matter what you have being through

Saw this news earlier today. My heart sank.

Immediately i began remembering my own days as a youth corper, going and returning safely to my family celebrating. I didn't attach so much value to that moment then.

Then coming across this bitter news, a sad day all round for one family. Then it dawned on me what God has done.

I rose up and said: 'God, I'm thanking You for giving me more opportunities to keep thanking You.'

No need for all this.

Everybody will still die one day.

Just show sympathy and move on.

In such a circumstance as this.....

Some empathy won't hurt.

It's not an easy thing loosing a loved one. Maybe her blood pressure was high, that's why she couldnt bear the news.

They shouldn't have broken the news of her sons death to her just like that. In situations like this, you take her to the hospital to be sure she is okay, then invite your pastor or Rev. father, some of the woman siblings and some of her church people before breaking such news. It helps a lot!, there will be people to console her.

Maybe if they did that, She wouldn't have died.


May there souls rest in perfect peace, and May God in his infinite mercies grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.

I keep saying, federal government should find alternative to this NYSC.
The time and money wasted on this NYSC of a thing can be useful on other ways. The money spent on kaki and other NYSC kits including the allawee should be calculated and disbursed into every graduate accounts. This will help them build their lives, start business and do will within themselves and employ others. After spending one year of the so-called NYSC in a far away land, squandering the small allawee and return home no job

U understand your ordeal bro! There are some motives for establishing NYSC aside d monetary gain which i believe is still relevant to some extent. This is just an accident which can occurto any where, any time n to any person. If you are calling for people to stop participating but only d money,death will still come. Abi U will start trekking from one place to another in order not to get killed in an accident? May God preserves our youths n grant d family of the deceased d fortitude to bear d loss, amen

The major objective of the NYSC scheme is far more holistic than you think and although your suggestion makes sense, the program which is meant to play a part in the unity of Nigeria is fulfilling its purpose.

I also know 2 people who died during NYSC. One was for documentation another was a river accident.

A young man identified as Christian Ugbede Abuka, has died in an auto crash two days after he completed his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program in Kwara State, IGBERETV reports.

It was gathered that Christian collected his NYSC certificate on Thursday, May 25, 2023.

The accident was said to have occurred in Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State on Saturday, May 28.

His ailing mother, who was eagerly expecting him, slumped and died after receiving news of his death.

His brother, Joseph Abuka, confirmed the sad news on Facebook.

NYSC was established to unify Nigerians after the civil war.
The Buharis of Nigeria with their mongers of Sharia criminal laws for Nigeria, have done incalculable damages to unity in Nigeria.

That is why you should always expect worst from life, and always know that what ever comes to thee, it is destined to happen.

If the mother knew it was his destiny, she won't take off. Also, when one is to excited in life - once a bitter moment occur, you feel like dying, if you ain't luck - you will die.

A mothers love. The bond between mothers and their children is very strong. She did not even reap fruits of her labour. The news was devastating to her. Who knows? She might have survived it if it was not announced abruptly suddenly.Oh what a way to go😢.
