Eye sore. The kind of contractors you attract to road construction determines how such road would be.

My adopted state, una no try at all. In 2023.

Ti Nigeria ti baje. Poverty has refused to leave the country.

Mere looking at these roads one can conclude that they are of low standard, but anyway kudos to the governor.

Your state that they didn't settle Tinubu, why are they using "I will take you to Lagos" to impregnate your sisters?

^^^
This doesn't have anything to do with who's impregnating who. The people were apparently not impressed with Oyetola and that's why he is no longer in power.

While 20km?! of roads (and by several accounts the quality of construction seems sub-standard...but that's a separate topic) in 6 months is nothing to write home about, the point is that Tinubu's party lost this state to the opposition. More of this needs to happen.

Elections have consequences. If the present government does a poor job then out they go too. That's the way it should be.

the quality of road seen here will not last a test of time, it is just a matter of 2 raining season. Modern roads are done using Road base as base course and CRMB as wearing course, this road does not even sem to have a wearing course.

Congrats to them anyways, but even LGs in this modern age shouldn't do this and be proud of it.

What is your response to this?

Nonsense, is that how to build road. Build road and leaving the gutters with no cover. Nigerian engineers and governors are all pics of shit. Why person go build road leave drainage system open, causing dirt's to pile up on the drainage system, making water finally come back up to the road and damage it

Are you a fascist?

You have commented online several times about places, people, events etc. different from your place of origin. Would you like that freedom to comment to be taken away? undecided

She didn't even mention South Eastern Nigeria in her comparison - so your reference to it is baffling. But that isn't even the point. The real issue here is a widespread aversion of some people to any kind of criticism - even when that criticism is factual, objective and justified.

After all, there are places in Nigeria that are calm and peaceful and they also have high quality roads - so what exactly is your point? undecided

Guy go an sit down somewhere or give the phone back to the owner, she should have simply complimented the new governor and encouraged him to do more considering the duration of is tenure and how willing he is to hit the ground running but instead she chose to drag him down which is the norm of your likes...now you come into the picture and suddenly pick sides with which is normal in any argument. I in my summation don't see how I owe you or the lady any detailed break down of how the person chooses to run his state. If you don't like the quality of road or the brown roofs simply mind your business.

This is the tripe people say whenever they have no argument. FYI, I am seated as I type this - although I am not using a phone. I can't afford one. wink

Again, this is the fascism I was referring to earlier. You have a problem because someone said 'no' to groupthink and exercised her powers of independent thought. Who are you to decree how other people assess a government road project - the results of which they can see with their own eyes? undecided

You are right about not owing anyone an explanation about how Adeleke runs his state. Which then begs the question...why are you here, responding on his behalf? undecided

You still don't get it, do you? You have commented on several threads involving places other than yours - and no one told you to 'mind your business'. So where do you get off, censoring other people's comments, freely given on an online platform? undecided

Thank heaven 'your likes' (your words, not mine) don't have any power in the real world because you'll misuse and abuse it. Your 'powers' are limited to harassment and bullying on online platforms - and we've got to thank God for that.

I don't need to bully you to prove a point,I like what the governor is doing and you and the lady in question see it as cheap and and unworthy. I am fine with your opinion.... the point of this all back and forth is that you want to water down what the governor did which is fine by me as long as it pumps your ego,the floor is yours. You couldn't bully me if you tried with everything you've got.

Not even once have you addressed the key issues raised. And you know why? Because you can't. Some posters with a technical background have raised pertinent questions about the durability of Adeleke's roads. You chose to play ostrich and refused to even acknowledge these very valid concerns. So what happens when these roads are washed away by rainwater in 6, 12 or 24 months? undecided

The good thing about all this is that time will tell. Sure, Oyetola was a complete disaster and his failure to perform is responsible for conditioning Osun to gratefully accept what Adeleke has done so far, no matter how little. After all, half bread is...

But will the people feel the same way in 2 years time when these roads deteriorate and they are back to square one? Think about this instead of trying to compel people to 'mind their business'.

This will be my last response to you.

I can't even recall how you jumped into a conversation and made yourself the umpire, judge, jury and castigator all in one episode but still expect me to toll your line of reasoning. I am simply happy for the people who got a better road from whatever road they had before. How my happiness became a national sadness and 3rd term exam to you really beats my imagination. As for the technicality of the road, kindly forward your grievances to WORKS department and as for you not responding....you where not even invited into the conversation so you can kindly ease out.
