Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has ordered all government bank accounts frozen.
Alia made the declaration in his inaugural speech shortly after taking the oath of office as Governor of Benue State at the IBB Square on Monday.

The governor said a ‘Post No Debit’ instruction shall remain in force until all signatories are changed.

He warned all banks to adhere to the directive without delay.

He said: “May I announce that effective immediately and until further notice, all government bank accounts in all banks are hereby frozen. A ‘Post No Debit’ instruction shall remain in force until all signatories are changed. Any bank that violates this instruction does so at its own risk.”

During his speech, Governor Alia expressed his commitment to ensuring transparency and accountability in the state’s finances.

he actually spent a huge part of the states fund on security o, the man tried it's just that he fell on the bad book of the top arewa leadership. The leadership was also misled by the other arewa aids that sorrounded oga at the top.if you are not close to this base there are lots one won't understand. The arewa guys have vowed never to forgive the TIV man over the way and manner the security wilderness guards handled them.Moat of the cow owners are also high govt leaders out there particularly the arewa leaders.Them the IDOMA ,IGEDE AGATU man in Benue is not at terms with the Tiv man, partly because of the politics of number and other few thraits of the tiv kingdom.The matter plenty and get K leg.
