We all know that these labour peeps are sell-out. It takes a bunch of brainless id!ots to trust them. That's why Igbo traders refused to join them from day one of their mass hysteria. In their little mind, they think that they won in the standoff with Jona. It has always been their pattern all the years. First, they will inflame people's emotion with their comments. Then exploit the anger of the masses. Only for them to go to the back and cut deal with the govt. Leaving the stup!d masses high and dry. Too bad that some folks sacrificed their life in this id!ocy. Igbo people are the most sensible in this debacle for refusing to join up in this group id!ocy. At the end, nothing is achieved, nothing changes and the little gain of these id!ots will soon be reversed. mtcheeew. . .phantom country with foolish masses. ![]() It takes an id!ots to be led by fools |

How myopic can anyone get to say that since they have not been buying fuel at N65/litre before the strike, they are least concerned about fighting the unjust and unsubstantiable increment? If I may ask, who are the people selling petrol for the Igbos at N150/litre instead of N65? Are they not the same Igbos doing their fellows in for the sake of excessive profiteering? Why do others sell to their brothers at official rate and the Igbos do otherwise, only for the same people to complain here? When love for humanity is sacrificed for love of money, then who's to blame? Again, what it takes for evil to succeed and perpetuate is for good to keep silent. Now that Igbos keep silent in the face of injustice - since events and facts have emerged to vindicate that there was no subsidy, all that N1.3T or N1.7T is money spent by Jonathan to prosecute his election- will keeping quiet reduce the pump price in Southeast? Is it not logical that if you fail to protest, those shylocks that sold petrol to you at almost tripple the price will not keep it at N150 any longer, but simply go overboard again? |

Just joined NairaLand because I was depressed reading the posts and sad at how low the conversation sunk into bigoted insults avoiding the truth. I would like to raise the level of conversation where I can. The poster asked and intelligent question and asked every1 to avoid stupid comments. A lot went off course. The fact is oil has always sold for a higher amount in the east than in Lagos. Don't know why, but this is a major reason there is no point protesting. The easterners are also battle wary. The civil war has thought them that having a just cause is not enough. Fighting a just cause does not necessary ensure victory. The end of all the FSR protest did not bring any change. It is unhealthy to think or especial Igbo everywhere to think the same way. There are Yoruba in the east who are also not protesting. This foolish thinking that all Igbo think the same way was what led to the pogroms in the north. The Igbo think in accordance with what their interest are where they reside. You point out there are Igbo in the South West protesting vehemently. Making every1 think the Igbo in the east are not cooperating is unhealthy and untrue. The rest of Nigeria did not protest the poor economic condition of the east and the higher fuel prices. Besides if they protest, Igbo haters would relish the opportunity to set security forces on them. When Ogoni declared independence, nothing happened. Same when other did. But when BZM declared Biafran independence, what happened? Massive arrests, tortures and crackdowns. |

Lol. The Internet truly never forgets . Who remembers this thread and many like it, circa 2012, when Igbos bragged they do not give a toss about Nigeria and were ready to buy petrol at any price GEJ hiked it to? Today they are the greatest lovers of Nigeria 'genuinely' tackling Tinubu about petrol price hike because they care so much about Nigerians. Obviously nothing to with the fact Tinubu, from the Yoruba ethnic group they hate with a passion, won and their IPOB messiah Obi lost. What a joke loads of these threads online. Just reading them and laughing. The wonders of the Internet. Always besting haters, hypocrites, liars, propagandists and disruptive elements. |

Thw ethnic group majorly silent in 2012 under honorable Igboman "Azikiwe" Jonathan but hatefully most vocal today about the same topic under a Yoruba President. May God prevent us being exposed by history to be wicked, anti-progress and bigoted hypocrite as some alway end up dosgracing themselves as. |

OneTemplate:Are you okay? It was you yorubas that were against subsidy when fuel was even 65 naira! You guys attacked Jonathan over it and hauled all manner of insults to him, his wife and anything that identifies with them. Today, you've started supporting subsidy removal when the price of fuel is 240 and under a more corrupt government! Can't you see you and your people are terrible hypocrites!!!! |

proeast:You Igbos opposed backed aubaidy removal then because it was promoted by your fellow honorable Igbo in "Azikiwe" Ebelemi. Today you are vociferously against it. Perhaps because a Yoruba President advocates it. You are hypocrites. |

OneTemplate:I am not an Igbo but what igbos saw during Jonathan and supported the removal of fuel subsidy but evil Yorubas like you crucified them but unfortunately today, you are blaming the same set of igbos for the removal of fuel subsidy by Tinubu. |

OneTemplate:What was the proposed price then and now ? Is like some of you just like trouble. The proposed priced then wasn't even an issue but tribalism blocked some of your eyes to see. Today we are not only facing Fuel hike , we are so facing a dollar hike too. Think Okpo |
